Back in the  90's Sam Verstraete came in contact with the underground electronic scene in Ghent and started producing under the alias DOiGSvEN with the notorious software Fasttracker 2 and later on Rebirth by Proppelheads. His influence were then Spacid, Ken Ishii, Robert Leiner, Eat static, Zion Train, Leftfield,... After a professional break of  15 years, DOiGSVEN has regained his talents and is now on his way back for more Bass-orientated music. His influences are now more diverse. Since 2015 Sam Verstraete formed together with Bart Peirs and Stefanie Deygers the Indietronic-band FÄST. Since 2018 Sam also started to produce Roots Reggae and Dub under the alias KING CONSCIOUS
