Ciao Winter : Hello Spring is dedicated to the longer days, warmer weather, birds chirping, running water, and new life. As I shift from a challenging winter of covid to the new beginnings of spring, I look forward to gatherings, collaboration, creating, building, getting close, breathing, and dancing. Lots and lots of dancing. As I look back at winter, I give thanks for the growth that comes with challenge and the introspection that comes with deeper connections. Earthly Measures 30th release welcomes Chilean artist DJ Raff back on the label.

Inspired by the dizzying passage of time, the idea of living several lives within one, and the shifting emotional states we inhabit — each with its own weight and significance — the producer delivers a record that balances evocation and movement. On Daydreaming, nostalgic tones intertwine with percussive layers and danceable rhythms, striking a fine line between the introspective and the physical.

Analogue photography plays a central role in the creative process. As Raff explains: “When I’m wandering around with my camera, I feel more present than ever in the moment. I love analogue photography and the dreamy aesthetic it creates. Having only 36 shots on a roll and not being able to see the results immediately forces me to slow down and observe everyday reality differently. Things that would normally go unnoticed suddenly reveal themselves.”

Daydreaming will be available on all digital platforms from 3 October, marking the 30th release from London-based label Earthly Measures.

“Time” is the first single from DJ Raff’s forthcoming EP Daydreaming, set for release on 3 October 2025 via London label Earthly Measures. The track was crafted through layered sound experiments that evoke nostalgia and an acute awareness of time passing — how life unfolds in distinct stages, each with its own weight and significance. While imbued with a reflective, bittersweet mood, “Time” pulses on a dembow rhythm, keeping it both danceable and deeply emotive.
