Ricky Smith is the Founder and CEO of Rickysmithnow Labs, a New York-based technology company specializing in Evolutionary Computer Science and Hyper-Gravitational Defense. Smith was born and raised in New York City, allowing him to begin his career in the entertainment industry at a young age. He appeared in titles such as 30 Rock (NBC), Notorious (Universal), and The Color Purple (Scott Sanders/Oprah Winfrey). While in high school, he created a luxury event promotion company which generated over $25,000 in revenue and was featured in media outlets such as The New York Post, CBS News, and MSNBC. During this time, Smith also began writing, recording, and producing music. This led him to enroll in the Bandier Program for Recording and Entertainment Industries at Syracuse University (voted one of the top programs in the nation by Billboard Magazine). While attending, Smith utilized the alumni network to launch his career as a recording artist and achieved over 10 million streams on his songs (also becoming featured on a #1 iTunes album). In addition, Smith was awarded The ASCAP Foundation BMG Chrysalis Scholarship in Honor of Quincy Jones. After graduating from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in 2018, Smith began developing his technology company Rickysmithnow Labs. He lives in New York City with his family.

I grew up playing the drums. John Bonham is my favorite drummer.  I also really like the drummer for Sergio Mendes & Brasil ‘66 on the albums “Look Around” and “Foursider” because he plays very fast and it’s tough to put it into words, but it’s just so perfect and spontaneous.  I also learned to play the guitar and bass in college and took some music courses in college.  I like music theory and Jazz.  I like a lot of different types of music including DnB, Daft Punk, Tame Impala, Nirvana, Movie Music, Classical, Jazz, and others.

The music I make (made) is mostly just fun to make and I realized after college that I pursing music would make me a starving artist, so it’s mostly just a habit for me these days.  I do love music!

My favorite song I uploaded on sound cloud is: “Aquarian”.  I think it’s a roborock masterpiece!
