Flique Mohamad, real name Taufik Zulkeffly, was born in Malaysia(JB) and was raised in Singapore(SG). He is the founder of Fliquethecoin Music(a one man production unit,formed since 2006). He started to love music at a very young age. From then on, he learned the art of composing lyrics, music & graphic design.

HIP HOP was Flique's first love. He started to perform on stage when he was just 13 with his peers. In general, People used to say to him "Music can't make you go far". But with strong beliefs and passion for arts/music, he just went for it. 

As an individual, He is currently undergoing a massive revolution in him either through music or his life. Passion-Hunger-Discipline(PHD) the journey has just started.

The Futurist are thé Brunei based cutting-edge hip hop duo, not forgetting the classics. Inspired by countless of musicians around the world. Being revolutionary while creating fresh tunes with an elegance are their outlook. They are definitely a diamond in a rough.

Anyone who knows me or has come down to see me play every week knows how much I enjoy playing music and how dedicated I am. I have been DJing live for 12 years now and I’m only 28, in that time I have played all over the UK and abroad with some of the world’s best DJs. 

I am an enthusiastic event promoter as well as a talented DJ creating a number of popular events brands with the emphasis on great music. My musical style is funky, dirty and always full of passion. 

After getting my first break doing the a half hour warm up at the local student union when i was 16. I became a regular on the DJ scene in the northeast of England DJing to over a thousand people every week. At events such as Planet of sound, Revolver, TWISTED, FIDGET, Rud A Dub Dub, Subotica, Digital Love and many more. 

So far as a DJ I have done loads on things over the years, most notably I play at Hed Kandi Durham Events and I warmed up for the Ministry of Sound tour 2006 @ Tall Trees, I played at the Future Perfect Festival 08 and the Beach Break Live 09 Festival. 

I have Supported DJs like Station Warriors, Simian Mobile Disco, Tayo, The Scratch Perverts, John B, Judge Jules, Brandon Block, Graham Gold, Giles Peterson, Logistics, Dillinja, the Dream team from BBC Radio 1, Utah Jazz, PGR of WAX:ON, Pendulum. I also won the Durham heat of the Juice DJ competition in 2002, which was a national competition ran by the Telegraph newspaper.

I am also a passionate music promoter pushing the boundaries of music in my home town with nights like TWISTED and FIDGET. TWISTED was an event I created out of a need for good electronic music in a city a wash with venues that only played pop and chart music. TWISTED in turn helps to promote good electronic music such as House, Techno, Dubstep, Breaks, Drum 'n' Bass. As well as giving Durham DJs a place to play and an audience which they previously did not have. FIDGET was born out of the need for Durham to have a large scale Music event riding on the waves of the popular Fidget, Bassline and Dubstep scene! 

Now living in Singapore in have been working on my production and playing guest slots at clubs such as Avalon, Azzura, Kinki Bar, Indochine, Home Club, Lucky 13 and Scape.
