Hey Ken, I'm getting a real Led Zeppelin vibe to this one! I've been so enjoying all your recent stuff the EC has put out these past few weeks and this is no exception! Your drums and Josh's bass really anchor the EC and give it the most consistent through line I would say. Great partnership between the two of you holding down the rhythm section. Drums are especially killer on here!

关云长　Guan Yun Chang（？～２２０）

Guan Yun Chang was a Chinese figure from about 1,800 years ago.

He is a popular figure in the Records of the Three Kingdoms, and for some reason is now worshipped as a god of commerce.

He remained loyal to Liu Bei, the founder of Shu Han, and was admired by many of his contemporaries, including Cao Cao, for his extraordinary bravery and sense of duty.

Among the military commanders appearing in "Epic of the Three Kingdoms," he was as popular as Zhuge Liang, and because he valued righteousness, later generations deified him and designated him as the Guan Di (Guan Emperor).

He is worshiped as the god of business in Chinatowns around the world. He is given special treatment in "Epic of the Three Kingdoms" and is described as Kwan Gong rather than Guan Yu.

A song that was recorded October 2023 that was just sitting in the list of unreleased songs.
I listened and thought this would work as a duet. Noobly agreed so I put it out there to an ex 90s chart star, Soundclouders and artist I know of  but with no success as the vocalists were either to busy with there own projects or some didn’t even reply with a nice no. 
I always ask Nat usually but thought for a change it might be good to work with a different vocalist as I feel I have asked a lot of her recently and didn’t wanna take the piss and for her to feel  obliged.
How wrong was I  because I spoke to Nat and she loved the track .
Her vocals on this are incredible. I’m not exaggerating when I say I was blown away by her delivery.
There is another track on our clouds called Divine Intervention with Nat  in the same style which created a little noise outside of Soundcloud among publishers a few years ago but never really got the credit it deserves. Check it out if you like a duet ballad.
We have asked Nat to do another with us so I want to thank her for the time, commitment, enthusiasm and most of all her amazing vocal range. She is a lovely person with a passion for her talent.
She is such a professional and throws herself into the moment of the song making it special. 
So as before she will always be my first choice again. 

This is a simple young love story under the stars in a tiny festival tent.

This song started as a rough recorded by Tez on his acoustic and electric guitars. He also wrote the lyrics right off the bat, and introduced them to the rest of The Eclectic Collective by singing them as a rough, too. His vision for this was to create a song that sounded like it could've been recorded at Headly Grange. He also wanted it to feature instruments that wouldn't sound entirely out of place in Feudal Age Britain (between 1000-1600 C.E.) to carry the spirit of his lyrics.
  Tez always writes songs that are fun to learn and have cool changes, so the we all jumped in with both feet. Ken was first up with his Bonham like big, bad beat. To that, Josh added his P-bass, which he used a plectrum on, something he rarely does, trying to sound like JPJ to match Ken's energy. JJ came along next, adding his colorful mix of raucous organ, time period relevant Celtic flute, and outro bagpipes. He did the entire outro, in fact, including the "off with her head," line, too. 
  Once the music was all laid down, Tez tapped Mark to sing the humorous lyrics. Mark came through with flying colors on the vocal performance, as always, too. Mark also added the textural, boingy-sounding jaw harp in the chorus sections.
  Now that it was all in the can, Two of our master producers Tez and Mark mixed it, then asked the third, Stephen, to do the final mastering. It should be noted, too, that Mark also contributed significantly to the production, too, with his masterful editing skills.
  This was a really fun tune to put together, as we always have fun working on Tez's seeds. He is telling the tale of lust between two Feudal era peasants. Of course, it's rife with ribaldry, being as Tez is British. We hope you enjoy listening to this a much as we enjoyed creating it.
