"Kalos" è un progetto che nasce nel 2012 da Calogero Aquilina, produttore e musicista nato in Sicilia e trasferitosi a Roma.
Influenzato dalle atmosfere minimaliste e techno inizia a comporre le sue prime tracce con l'utilizzo di software e synth digitali.
Studia Music Tecnology e Sound Design con il maestro Luca Spagnoletti al St.Louis College of Music dove si diploma ed entra in contatto con altri musicisti della scena Romana.
Affascinato dalla continua sperimentazione parte un nuovo percorso che lo porta a comporre con l'utilizzo esclusivo di strumenti analogici, il sound subisce un cambiamento considerevole verso atmosfere concettuali affiancate da beat minimali, bassline distorte e noise.
Dal vivo il set è prettamente "live" seguendo un approccio più "fisico" e reale possibile.
Nel 2013 parte la collaborazione con il musicista e produttore Andrea Messina aka "I'm an Egg", progetto che vede la fusione di concezioni musicali divergenti in funzione di una sperimentazione totale.
Nello stesso anno partecipa a vari festival underground italiani, suona al MAXXI (Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo) e in vari club della capitale.
Il suo primo ep "Impasse" esce ad Ottobre (2013) per "Eklero Records" in download sulle varie piattaforme digitali.

The "Kalos" project was created in 2012 by Calogero Aquilina, Sicilian producer and musician based in Rome.
Under the influence of minimal and techno music his work starts with the use of softwares and digital synthesizers.
During his studies of Music Technology and Sound Design at Saint Louis Music College with professor Luca Spagnoletti, he has his first contact with other artists of the Roman scene.
Driven by a strong interest for experimentation his production move towards a work based only on analog instruments, therefore his sound experiences a strong change that leads towards conceptual atmospheres combined with minimal beats, distorted baselines and noise elements.
His sets are exclusively live and are made on a strictly real and "physic" approach. 
In 2013 he starts a new cooperation with the musician/producer Andrea Messina aka "I'm an Egg", creating a project based on the fusion of opposites music concepts as a function of complete experimentation.
During the same year he takes part in various italian underground festivals; he performs at the MAXII (National Museum for the 21st century arts) and in various clubs within Rome.
His first EP named "Impasse" is released in October 2013 by "Eklero Records", and is available for purchase on various digital stores.

Alessandro Cortini is an Italian musician, producer, composer, and instrument builder. 

Cortini is one of the foremost figures of contemporary electronic music, best known for his haunting, atmospheric work. Alongside being a longstanding member of Nine Inch Nails, he is highly prolific and has released a steady stream of his own heady music on luminary labels including Mute, Hospital, and Important Records for the past decade. Throughout his shadowy rise to fame, he has collaborated with the likes of Lawrence English, Daniel Avery and Merzbow (to name a few). Balancing dark ambience with smokey, pulsing rhythms, his compositions are perfectly restrained, textured and mesmeric. 

Cortini was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020 through his work with Nine Inch Nails, making history as the only Italian musician to have ever been honored with this recognition. 

In 2021, in collaboration with boutique synth builders Make Noise, Cortini released his own, custom-designed, semi-modular synth, “Strega” (Italian for ‘witch’). That same year, he used Strega to build his latest full length, Scuro Chiaro [Mute], which Pitchfork described as “pitched somewhere between purgatory and the planetarium ... consistently managing to thrill and surprise”. 

In addition to years of extensive worldwide touring, Cortini has also soundtracked fashion shows including Alexander McQueen, Dior, and several of Fendi’s presentations. In 2022, he exhibited a high-concept audio installation called “Nati Infiniti” for Sonar 2022 at Museu de Lisboa’s “Fábrica de Moagem.” A live version of “Nati Infiniti” is set to debut at Berlin Atonal in 2023.

Alessandro Cortini’s music has been licensed for use in television, film and documentaries, games, and commercials, including FX’s hit show The Bear, “Thank You Very Much” a documentary about Andy Kaufman, Samsung, BMW, Sony, and Netflix. Remixes have also been a part of Cortini’s identity – remixing the likes of Depeche Mode to Mogwai to Death Cab For Cutie, Yann Tiersen to Vatican Shadow, and more between and beyond.

CNTRLVX (Backlight) Is a new project by Gianclaudio H. Moniri (Plaster, Kaeba, Clouds After Rain) and Marco “uBiK” Bonini (Mamavegas, Acre, uBiK). The two musicians, already active in various projects, merge together for an Ep which blends thoughtful and dark tints, inspired by noir photography and movies. Dense tracks with an analogue flavor, flows horizontally like possible soundtracks of inexistent films. Guitars and Synthesizers chase each others through sequences that can be endless, where shadows find their place "inside" the light and through it they show us the real border of the objects.

CNTRLVX (Controluce) è un nuovo progetto di Gianclaudio H. Moniri (Plaster, Kaeba, Clouds After Rain ) e del chitarrista Marco “uBiK” Bonini (ex-Mamavegas, Acre, uBiK). I due musicisti, già attivi in numerosi progetti, collaborano per un EP dalle tinte fosche e riflessive, ispirato al mondo della fotografia e del cinema. Tracce dense, sviluppate orizzontalmente e dal sapore analogico scorrono come pellicole fluide, possibili soundtracks di film inesistenti. Chitarre e Synths si rincorrono in sequenze potenzialmente infinite, dove le ombre trovano il loro posto “dentro” la luce e attraverso di essa ci mostrano il vero confine degli oggetti.
