For the episode 14 of Techno Traffic on La Face B i was honored to invite a friend and a very talented artist Dopamyne.
Dopamyne is a well-known in the Quebec rave scene. With her contagious energy, her explosive track selection and her surgical precision mixes, she owned her place at a national and also international level.
Her journey began in 2008, when she first came into contact with gabber and hardcore music. She then developed a serious passion for high energy electronic music, and also a burning desire to share her admiration for the underground sounds. Very active in her local scene, it took only a few months to see Dopamyne appear on the biggest rave line-ups all over the province and country. She then started to produce events and organized more than fifteen major shows, on her own, and occasionally as a co-producer.
Exploring various styles over the years, it's the « harder styles » over all that creates real havoc on the dancefloors. Her current influences converge mainly on "oldschool" sounds, drawing inspiration from the atmosphere of the French "Possession" techno parties, Berlin's biggest clubs as well as the classic Dutch rave series "Thunderdome". Dopamyne now describes her style as nostalgic, enchanting, energetic & fast « rave music ». Blending several different genres like corrosive hard techno, early hardstyle classics, UK hard dance, gabber, dark industrial techno, hypnotizing acid as well as the epic vibe of hard trance in her mixes, she will certainly transport you musically in the nostalgia of the 2000s.

The third episode of MUSAS introduces Gatta Cattana, a Spanish artist, rapper, poet, feminist and political scientist. She combined topics and styles creating a unique rap style full of poetry and feminist and political protest messages, fusing sometimes flamenco rhythms and electronic sounds. She is an icon of Spanish urban music, and an icon of feminist vindication in music. Someone to remember, and someone to listen to her lyrics and her voice, full of power and sentiment.

Khalil’s sets show his penchant for fast, heavy but yet joyful sonorities. He likes to play as many genres as possible in his mixes creating hectic and strong energies. Through his residency at the Montreal based web radio LaFace B, he invites local DJ and producers to highlight their techno talent on his show Techno Traffic.
