"Triangle Folds," an exclusive track from his DJ-Kicks mix, is the first Holden offering for over four years. Naturally it displays all of the trademark Holden musical perversions: loose, live-feeling rhythms, quirky time signatures and the bare minimum of pandering to the dictates of the conservative DJ. The track is the edited-down result of heady late night analogue jam sessions improvising on an electronic theme using his enviable modular synthesizer collection: “Trying to catch the moment, not trying to make the moment,” explains Holden. “Like it was already there.”

'Il tempo di capire' is taken from the album "Un Giorno Sospeso" by Italian ambient electronica artist Elisa Luu.  The album is out through Hidden Shoal Recordings and is available digitally and as a limited edition CD.

As evidenced on recently released single ‘Se Fosse Per Me’, "Un Giorno Sospeso" is dense with chiming tones, buoyant beats, skittering horns and immersive drones. From the shimmering, levitating tones of ‘Flussigirl’ to the rattling, dark drone-beat of ‘Il Tempo Di Capire’, Elisa Luu’s brilliant marriage of texture and composition is on virtuoso display.

Elisa Luu’s alchemical touch is in full bloom on this, her long-awaited second album for Hidden Shoal. Her uniquely crafted compositions carry a warmth and vulnerability that belies their digitally manipulated  textures. The album takes the glorious blueprint of debut Chromatic Sigh and accentuates the highlights and shadows, making for a deliciously disorientating trip.

Tosca's new album Odeon is slated to be the first release of 2013 on the duo's longtime home of !K7 Records. Featuring collaborators from Tosca's creative inner circle, including vocalists Sarah Carlier and JJ Jones, the album is darker than their previous five albums, more downbeat, at times ambient. It's unlike anything else out there at the moment.

"'What If' was the first track that we finished for Odeon. The song's basic idea -”what if this was not the case”- can serve as a layout for the whole album: what if noise was a song? What if the sound of the sea was a symphony? What if the ears could listen? The vocals of Belgian singer Sarah Carlier are an instrument like any other instrument on the track, as we always like to do. Every Tosca track is an architecture of sound, and the time of the clock turning into groove-time; Tosca-time. Music is the place where we like to be, where everything is possible, where anything can happen; what if the world was music?"

Neither Jamie Lidell or Brandt Brauer Frick like to do things by the book. That's one of the reasons their collaborations are so successful, despite the lack of surface-level similarities between their respective musical output. "Broken Pieces" is one of two songs featuring Lidell from the forthcoming Brandt Brauer Frick album Miami. The album also features Om'mas Keith, Nina Kraviz, Gudrun Gut and Erika Janunger, and will be released March 11th (March 19th in the US) on !K7 Records.

While the new Brandt Brauer Frick album Miami sees the Berlin trio once again using instruments most associated with classical music (piano, strings, timpani) to create dance music, it also sees the group stepping away from the "acoustic techno" approach of some previous work. On the first single "Plastic Like Your Mother," BBF collaborate with Om'Mas Keith (founding member of Sa-Ra Creative Partners and co-producer of Frank Ocean's Channel Orange) for a dark and frenetic track that defies categorization.

Miami is out March 19th 2013 on !K7 Records. Om'mas Keith's latest album City Pulse is available for free download via <a href="http://www.ommas.com/">his website</a>.

This set was recorded on my first trip to South Africa, where I performed at a festival and a free show in Soweto alongside local artists Vinny da Vinci , Dj Fresh, Euphonik, Culoe de Song and LSG. All tour dates were partnered with non-profit organisation Bridges for Music. The aim was to use music to break down socio-economic boundaries bringing people from different communities together . 'DE9 Fragments' is a series of fragmented audio edits based upon my live DJ set recordings. Each one will attempt to capture the feeling and direction of the night, giving those who were there a reminder of the events they experienced while giving those who were not present a fragmented distortion of what they missed.
