expanding the Afterlife totality into a label. The label and events will complement each other with one
aim; to bring the crowd into another dimension of music perception with enthralling production to that
ignite the senses.
The ‘Realm Of Consciousness’ voyage commences with Tale Of Us’ Lies - a fitting introduction with
quivering keys and restrained percussion that engenders an ominous suspense ahead of Monoloc’s
enigmatic industrial techno crunch, Phoenix. Shifting through the haunting chords of Recondite’s dynamic
Murphy’s Law, to the brooding synth of Poseidon by Ukrainian duo Woo York, the realisation of Afterlife
utopia is upon us. The repetitive, mesmerising synth and effective reverb that Somne creates with Triangle
is an odyssey within itself. From there, John Hester’s expertly woven ‘Logan’ is a feverish techno stab that
transverses through the emotional senses, transitioning to Locked Groove’s adroitly crafted Emeralds, to
Ryan James Ford’s ambient, albeit percussive, techno cut Toree Bahrstad. Die Wiederkehr is the outcome
of Obscure Shape & SHDW’s collaboration, which incorporates facets of techno and trance that have
been shaped with real guile and finesse. Mind Against round off the compilation with Gravity - a
mystifying ambience and a fitting title as we touch back down to planet earth.

Lorenzo Masotto’s journey with music began at the age of nine when he started playing piano. Graduating from Conservatorio di Verona, he consequently started studying composition and jazz. Lorenzo also plays in a prog/post rock band called Le Maschere di Clara, directs a male voice choir, writes music for film and theatre, and teaches piano and composition. “I’ve never only thought about writing in just one music style,” he says, “I love all music, and everything I write increases my confidence and ability to write from a wider perspective.” He has published two albums, “Silk” in 2015 (Alfa music) and “Rule and Case” in the 2016 (Preserved Sound).

LORENZO MASOTTO - A Tree In The Snow

A digital single launched as Esmerine being their Spring 2012 tour of Europe.  

"Front End Loader" was recorded during the sessions for Esmerine's acclaimed La Lechuza album in 2011.  It ranks as one of the band's most exuberant tracks, with echoes of Constellation labelmates Do Make Say Think in the rhythm work and especially in the use of horn arrangements, written and performed by saxophone phenom Colin Stetson. This was a celebratory track for Esmerine in the midst of very intense sessions surrounding the recording of La Lechuza, an album idedicated to their departed friend Lhasa de Sela. The track dd not fit the arc of the album at the time but the band is excited to make it available now as a free digital single.  The song was recorded and mixed by Mark Lawson (Arcade Fire).

The B-SIde for this single is "Learning To Crawl", a recent composition headed up by Esmerine percussionist Bruce Cawdron as a commission for the Indian-inflected modern dance piece "Aarti" by Sonia St-Michel.  Esmerine contributed two pre-existing songs to the piece (to which classical Indian vocals were added) along with this new one.  Vocals by Samidha Joglekar.
