Atsuko Hatano is a contemporay classical Viola player who works with electronics to add textures and layers to her sound. Located in Tokyo, Japan, she is a commanding instrumentalist and composer who constructs innovative compositions with strings and layered electronics.

Cells #5 is an orchestral collection and sequel to her previous album Cells #2 which will also be released on cassette via Imprec’s Cassauna label. Cells #5 required three years to complete and the work features the artist’s signature methodology where the instrumental performances are gradually enveloped by multiple layers of a string orchestration. 

When not playing solo Atsuko is extremely active recording, collaborating and playing live with Jim O’ Rourke, Eiko Ishibashi, Mocky and many more acts.

Anderson Chimutu is a first generation Malawian American who resides in the city of South Bend, Indiana. Growing up near Chicago and Detroit, Chimutu was exposed to many legends of the regional music scene. This influenced him to get involved with various instrumental bands and djing. Now he focuses on solo productions, which integrate the use of granular sound processors and drum machines. This new approach, coupled with the desire to represent his African heritage, has given birth to Fumbata Phiri. His first offering as Fumbata Phiri came in the form of 2020's "Decoherence", released on the Hungarian label Exiles. He followed that up with "Equipoise", released on UK label Hard Return, "Actuation" on released on Eternal Search in 2021, and now in 2022, "Liminal Space" releasing on Chicago label, Reserve Matinee ran by Michael Stumpf (FAITHFUL) and John Daniel (Forest Management). Chimutu wants to challenge the narrative surrounding African influenced music, and does so by creating what comes naturally to him. Putting forth an extension toward the future, while being cognizant of the history that has brought him to this point.

We have managed to ban circuses with animals in two dozen cities, agree to abandon natural fur by several dozen designers, as well as achieve the adoption of several important animal rights laws over recent years.

However, on February 24, 2022, Russia attacked Ukraine and now the main efforts of UAnimals are focused on rescuing animals in this situation. We help shelters financially, we provide them with food and try to evacuate animals to other countries.

Kerry Leimer has been producing music and experimental sound since the mid- 1970s. One of the early independent Seattle labels, he founded Palace of Lights in late 1979 as a means to release his work and that of others, free of commercial concern. In addition to PoL his recordings are available on the Autumn, Cherry Red, First Terrace, Invisible Inc., Les Giants, Longform Editions, RVNG, and VOD labels. PoL currently represents works by K. Leimer, Marc Barreca, Barreca | Leimer, Steve Peters, Savant, Gregory Taylor, and Three Point Circle. Palace of Lights releases are distributed exclusively by Revolver and represented by First Terrace Publishing. His work is included in the collection of The British Library.
