RÊVE PARISIEN features four new Rhys Chatham compositions that were performed live at Kassay's exhibition at Art: Concept in Paris in 2010, and loosely functions as an audio catalogue to the exhibition.

RÊVE PARISIEN contains compositions that were both performed live and used as a soundtrack through Kassay’s exhibition. These compositions mark a change in direction for Chatham, who has abandoned the trumpet style he developed in the nineties for a non-distorted, less effects-driven sound that compliments his minimalist compositions and his free jazz training. The LP is packaged in a stunning gatefold with an arced die-cut cover, which was designed by Jacob Kassay in collaboration with Frank Napolski.

Craig Brown is a Detroit hero and the closest thing to a proper mayor the city has had in years. He’s one part blue collar and no parts ivory tower. He is a dude. He makes music. He is essential to the fabric of the scene. When he isn’t constantly touring with Terrible Twos, Liquor Store, King Tuff, or running the merch table for Natural Child, you can find him behind the counter at El Club or Lager House or just around.

Kerry Leimer has been producing music and experimental sound since the mid- 1970s. One of the early independent Seattle labels, he founded Palace of Lights in late 1979 as a means to release his work and that of others, free of commercial concern. In addition to PoL his recordings are available on the Autumn, Cherry Red, First Terrace, Invisible Inc., Les Giants, Longform Editions, RVNG, and VOD labels. PoL currently represents works by K. Leimer, Marc Barreca, Barreca | Leimer, Steve Peters, Savant, Gregory Taylor, and Three Point Circle. Palace of Lights releases are distributed exclusively by Revolver and represented by First Terrace Publishing. His work is included in the collection of The British Library.
