HAFT, the Iranian duo of Sam Nasehi and Amir Subb, are known for fusing hypnotic synths, deep- rooted pads, and intricate percussion into a sound that bridges traditional textures with modern progressive house. Their debut three-track EP on Balance Music delivers a journey filled with psychedelic undercurrents and shimmering atmospheres that is crafted equally for the dance floor and for deep listening.

The brooding ‘Driftor’ is designed to nudge any DJ set in the right direction. An off-beat bass drives the engine, allowing you to comfortably sit in the pocket of its inviting narrative. Steely drums and percussion form a cohesive frame, while a bag of tasteful effects, samples, and stabs fill the remaining spaces. Once the breakdown hits, in all its subtlety, you know you’re in the hands of professionals. This is essential prog, designed for any occasion.

There is an undercurrent of psychedelia running through ‘Myntal’, hypnotic and consuming. Low- end frequencies double as notes, merging with the bass to create a dizzying effect. Its main-room identity, however, is confirmed by drums that strut forward with propulsive energy. It all points towards a seductive breakdown, its layering teasing a drop that confirms it: this is designed for floors ready to ignite.

Filled with depth, ‘Prism’ shimmers and shakes as synths and stabs perpetually morph. The result is a continuous stream of sonic moments to lose yourself in. Thankfully, the dense bassline and drums bring you back from the edge of hypnosis, filling the space with an elastic energy as buoyant as a trampoline. Then comes the breakdown: bells dissolve into minor-key haze, half beautiful, half surreal: an inviting dream-logic that is hard to deny.

"Modeplex is a DJ and techno producer from south Germany. Raised in a musical family, Dave, which is his real name, have always been surrounded by instruments, music and records. Therefore in his early twenties, he started doing events and getting in touch with promoters and bookers.
Modeplex has developed a very personal way to compose, where different musical genres and scenes are the perfect ingredients to give birth to a wholesome kind of techno and deep house.
He takes inspiration from life situations, events happened in his past or anticipated for his future and condenses all those emotions to experiment with different sounds and recordings. That's the reason why he's able to create songs that convey genuine feelings. Each track created by Modeplex has to have a deep sense of character and soul. That's why he applies a vast number of ideas, emotions and algorithms to his creative process. He also recognize the importance of cooperations, given that there is a lot to learn and making music with other artists is more fun anyway."

Echonomist was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece. At early age, Petros’ family got him a basic synthesizer (GEM) and hired a music teacher to teach him traditional Greek music in order to entertain his family on Sundays. Much to his family’s dismay, the plan didn't seem as interesting to Petros as creating weird sounds with his small harmonium and recording his first tracks.
Soon, Petros finished his first downtempo album and formed his first music project called "IνΦο". Performing live with his band, consisting of live musicians and a vocalist, they covered a wide spectrum of electronic downtempo music, releasing 3 studio albums until 2009, gaining some considerable fame–mainly in the Greek electronic music scene.

Always on the lookout for new sounds and music, he soon began to DJ, discovering the full range of electronic dance music. Petros had fallen under the spell of stateside artists and labels like Maurizio, Carl Craig, Black Dog, Underground Resistance, and Echocord–to name a few. At this point he started his own solo project Echonomist, releasing his first tracks on labels such as Resopal, Upon You Records, Time Has Changed, and Dessous Recordings.

Today, more than ever, Echonomist is driven by his passion for musical creativity. He has evolved into a professional DJ, producer, and live performer. While his style may vary somewhere between underground Tech House and Techno, he never compromises on quality. A fact that found him a place amongst the most prolific producers worldwide. His elaborate live performances have been met with international acclaim.

As a DJ, Echonomist brings the same qualities to the table. Comfortably combining music from a wide range, Petros is a dynamic and interactive DJ who blends rolling basslines, harmonic synths, and energetic percussions to craft an infectious and atmospheric sound. It’s all about devotion to the sound and a restless quest for the groove that will make everyone move.
