AM: Where and how did you record the mix & what was the idea behind it?
 
I recorded the mix in my studio in athens, where I currently live. For me, this mix is a bit more special. In the past 2 years, I made a lot of podcasts with ambient/synth-pop/downtempo music selections. I wanted this time to go on some more contemporary music genre, I thought it would fit better with the AM podcast series. Some promos from friends, Some tracks from my forthcoming LP, and a blend of experimental/bass/breaks songs.

AM: What have ya been listening to recently?

Well, I have a monthly show on the athens based "Movement Radio", and it's about a different part of the world every month, with a 80's/90's approach usually. Last month was scandinavia, so I listened a lot of sweden/norvegien stuff haha. Next one is south america, digging brazilian weird music these days :)
But for more recent stuff, I have been listening a lot of new releases (of forthcoming) from different labels like Petrola 80, Besoins Premiers, Dawn Records, Worst Records etc..

AM: Your 3rd volume of EDP is out soon, what was the process for this one? Did you approach it different compared to the last 2? 

There's an idea behind every EDP release. First one was acid trip story telling. Second album was dedicated to the sun and moon. And for this 3rd LP, it's about death. This release is going way more into these contemporary music genres I included in the mix. I really wanted to push a bit more in this direction. Also, that was the first time I was composing in my new studio in athens. So more acoustic instruments on this one, makes things a bit more organic, maybe..

AM: Tough to do much atm, but what have you been up to recently? 

I'm preparing 2 different live sets. First one is gonna go thru a more danceable approach. From Tribal downtempo music to Trancy acid tracks.
and second set is a Live A/V with HAJJ for the VJing. I'm not sure what's gonna be the final result, but I hope to make it as experimental, creepy and ritualistic as possible haha. Can't wait to finish that project with HAJJ !
Also, with OKO DJ we are currently working on our new project ơཞɠąŋıƈ ƈąɬɧɛɖཞąƖ ơʄ ɖɛąɬɧ. Making a lot of music together <3

AM: What’s next for you in 2021?

Summer is coming, some festivals booked me for these live sets, so I'm pretty excited to see if it's gonna happen !
About music, I have this other solo project called Mortimer-Dubaton, Dancehall/Trap/Bass project. Some stuff coming on different labels :
Banlieue records, Dawn records and Noff Weezy & Amelia Holt's forthcoming label <3 more info soooon :D
For Eiger Drums, I don't know yet. I have to think about some new idea now that this Tryptic album is done..
