Summer night on Hällsjön at around 1:00am. Eurasian Bittern, Common Snipe, Eurasian Woodcock, Sedge Warbler and many more species were actively calling 
through the (short!) night.

While visiting Hawaii in March of 2022 I enjoyed unique patches of the bamboo forest on Maui. The sound of the environment completely changed as soon as I entered the thick forest. In the dense bamboo a compelling percussive sound starts in the distance and ebbed toward me as the wind swayed the tall skinny shoots. Clicking and clacking together it felt as if this spontaneous rhythm passed through me.

Notes
As the light diminished, the volcanic palette undergoes a kaleidoscopic transformation, revealing an iridescence a spectral shimmering.

The sands embody the ethereal interplay of otherworldly pigments that defy earthly conventions.
Listening with multispecies ecologies: volcanic rock pools teeming with life , hermit crabs, Black Sea urchin, Goby and Shrimp, with tides crashing nearby. Human perception and language too limited to describe these multiplicitous worlds.

Using  geophones to  convert ground movement (velocity) into voltage, in attempt to pick up subterranean vibrations. The deviation of this measured voltage from the base line is called the seismic response and is analysed for structure of the earth.
In this majestic Canary Islands. We discovered alien, enigmatic volcanic landscapes, lava fields and magical caves and art by Cesar Manrique. An island carved and shaped with creativity and art.

5th June 2016: Sea waves recorded on the black volcanic beach spit at the mouth of the Ölfusá river near Eyrarbakki, Iceland. 

This is part of a mid-side comparison test and was recorded with a Sennheiser MKH30 and a Sennheiser MKH60.

I know many people will record the sound of waves and I admit it is really hard to get a true representation of what you actually hear. I tried using a holophone surround sound system and I feel if you listen to it on a surround system it sounds pretty close to what I was hearing. 
Either way it was a beautiful beach with no one but myself on it. Oh ya the leather back turtles were amazing to watch as they crawled up on the beach to lay their eggs. There must have been thousands of them and it went on for days.

This is recorded over a three day period using multiple microphones I built. The latest was a pair of TSC-1 Capsules with Dual OPA impedance couplers. Then we get to a pair of figure 8's spaced 12 inches apart facing same direction. We close with the same TSC-1 Capsule mics in ORTF with outboard TSB2555B mic's about 10 feet to left and right
