Abseits des beatgetriebenen Tanzflächengerangels ist alles viel einfacher. RS63, zwei Typen, eine Leidenschaft: Null Toleranz für mittelmäßigen Sound und holprige Übergänge. Sympathisch, ne?
Aber der Reihe nach: Hinter RS63 stecken Sebastian und Henrik. Dit sind zwee orjinal Berliner Typen.
Sebastian ist ein bereits bekanntes Nachtschattengewächs im Soundgarten der Techno-Hauptstadt. Als Gründer mimt er den Oberadler im Nest der Großstadtvögel, einem Elektro-Label in Berlin, aus Berlin und vor allem auch um Berlin herum – Speckgürtelstyle.
Henrik ist sein kongenialer Partner, Mitbewohner und der elektronische Handwerker der beiden: Als ausgebildeter Tontechniker/Cutter/Filmemacher hat er bei vielen Filmproduktionen mitgearbeitet. Und als regelmäßiger Wanderer durch die Welten der Berliner Clubszene kennt er sogar das Gegenteil: Filmrisse aus nächster Nähe.
Während Henrik also Feldforschung an der Basis betreibt, ist Basti eher der Hallo Spencer-Typ und knüpft die Kontakte von zuhause aus. Eine musikalische Liasion ist vor diesem Hintergrund also keine wirkliche Überraschung.
Aber warum zum Kuckuck RS63? Machen wir uns nix vor: DJ-Bios klingen alle gleich und wer will noch eine von diesen „we began to love music in a very early age“-Stories? Eben. Und auch der zigtausendfach angefingerte und abgegriffene Allgemeinplatz „Wie kamt ihr eigentlich auf den Namen“ soll nun endlich zur Ruhe kommen und nicht weiter penetriert werden.
In diesem Sinne finden wir uns alle damit ab: Sebastian & Henrik sind RS63.
Und wenn Namen Schall und Rauch sind, klingt und riecht dieser nach einer vollen Tanzfläche. Wir sehen uns dort! Natürlich nur, wenn ihr so lange bleibt, bis das Licht angeht.

Club Mood Vibes Podcast #248: RS63

I learned walking into the venue that my set would be 2.5 hours instead of 2, forcing me to throw away the loose plan I had put together and to craft a proper adventure on the spot. All sides of Kai Castro were represented starting in deep house, pushing through some darker progressive and then gliding through a journey of different melodic techno styles. This is my masterclass in opening a room and building a night.
