The Soulful Techno king Gabriel Ananda makes his Truesoul debut with a re-master of his 2006 classic ‘Doppelwhipper’. The package also comes with two brand new remixes from Drumcode favourite Marco Faraone and the hotly tipped Layton Giordani. 

The EP opens with Marco Faraone’s remix, which samples Kings of Tomorrow’s ‘KOT Anthem (Soul Vision Remix)’. This takes ‘Doppelwhipper’ to dizzy new heights, keeping the obscure roots of the track and adding a rolling bass line that will bring any dancefloor to sheer hysteria. Next up is a re-master of Ananda’s seminal ‘Doppelwhipper’, a track which has well and truly stood the test of time. A connoisseur of the uncommon, his curious sounds float through almost 10 minutes of pure hedonism. Closing out the package is Layton Giordani’s interpretation of the track that is set to be a firm club favourite. Pounding through the gears, this one will do some real damage.

Of all the house music dudes in the game, Australia's Wongo is probably one of the happiest, most jovial producers to ever hit the spotlight. Every email exchange, every correspondence with him leaves you feeling better about yourself and the world around you. You can hear it in his music, too. Effervescent but not too bubbly; fun with a bit of edge. He makes proper club bangers that don't feel like "club bangers." They're organic and free-flowing, avoiding many of the patterns and formulas we tend to presume when hearing the term "certified panty dropper." This is all to say that Wongo is more than just his music, and that's what makes his music so good.

​As Sian gets ready to release his second album ‘Capital Crimewave’ on April 10, the Octopus Recordings label boss sat down with Mixmag to discuss the vision behind the new material, his thoughts on the dance music industry and share a free download of the album’s bonus track.

Following the release of his debut album in 2002, Sian has released numerous dancefloor focused tracks, but has not returned to the album format. The new material is a departure from what many listeners have grown accustomed to and offers a new look at his unique approach to production.

As the new material stands out from the label’s catalogue, Sian revealed that he hopes to reach new fans and give existing ones a new side to his persona: “That’s how I see it going already from promoting this music over the last few weeks. The kind of people that are coming to us are the kind of people who would maybe also listen to Bonobo or Modeselektor. Or just good music in general, not so specific.”

The 51st release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital features Lithuanian DJ and producer Kastis Torrau.  Since winning Sasha and Burn Studio's "Cut Me Down" Remix competition, Kastis continuously finds his boundless discography crushing the Beatport charts across multiple genres on imprints such as Last Night on Earth, Hope Recordings, Click Records, and Plattenbank.

For his sixth appearance on the label, the veteran producer provides two brilliant originals titled 'Antivirus' and 'Neo'. Hijacking the listener with a thumping kick and pulsing pads, 'Antivirus' delivers an intense and haunting voyage with aggressively snarling brass and reverberating stabs.  The warm and smooth tempered 'Neo' is signified by deep, chugging percussion and ethereal motifs.  A subdued yet bouncy melody brightens and swells into thick chords to create a cinematic sci-fi ambience.
