Infusing sultry sounds and rich grooves, is Soul Button's latest EP ‘Swift Minds’. It's his first Steyoyoke release for 2014 and once again, it's those soaring melodies and uplifting vibes that will have every deep house lover feeling satisfied in no time. Comprising of two originals and two remixes from up and comers Dahu and Whomi, it is with no surprise that ‘Swift Minds’ is launched with much anticipation.

The title track ‘Swift Minds’ is both vibrant and bold, bringing with it a strong sense of great depth and beauty. Possessing a steady bass line and deep haunting riffs, it is also delicately laced with the lullaby styled vocals of Kara Square. The power behind her voice, literally draws you in and attunes your ears to a chorus of divine whispers.

‘7th Heaven’ is quickly defined by it's intensity and subtle progression. Creating a solid backdrop of uplifting grooves, this track has the presence and strength to put a spell on you. Stabbing synths and hard hitting hats are complimented perfectly with an array of harmonious bells and chimes which wash over you like a melodic wave.

In a mirrored parallel of ‘Swift Minds’, Whomi's remix maintains all the sultry characteristics of it's original. However it is a much punchier version, allowing for some of the tracks more unique features to surface. Expect darker soundscapes and intricately layered percussion.

The final track on ‘Swift Minds’ is Dahu's remix of ‘7th Heaven’. Silver lined with authentic underground sounds, Dahu chooses a slightly more stripped back approach for this remix. Raw dark melodies and hefty bass lines are the key elements in revealing this tracks inner twisted elegance.

It is known that we, Kaiser Souzai, do love Artrock and Soundtracks. So after releasing our 12 min epic “1976” on Trapez, we decided to release our next homage of this kind on our newly founded BALLROOM label here in Berlin. With “1981” we moved 5 years ahead in time, when the director John Carpenter put a certain Snake Plissken into action, to rescue the president of the United States from a prison island, Manhattan. The typical 80ties arpegiator sequences and the soundtrack-like break are the homage to that time of music and moviemaking. Of course we have beefed this up with some heavy bottom bass and drums to get your booties kicked.

Es hat sich in der Szene ja schon rumgesprochen, dass wir eine Schwäche für Artrock und Soundtracks besitzen und so lag es Nahe, nach unserem Release “1976” auf Trapez, in der Zeit etwas vorzurücken, auf genau “1981” und unseren nächsten soundtrack inspirierten gleichnamigen Werk direkt auf unserem BALLROOM Label zu veröffentlichen.
Es ist 1981, als der Director John Carpenter seinen Filmhelden Snake Plissken, den amerikanischen Präsidenten aus der Gefängnisinsel Manhattan retten lässt.. Inspiriert durch die typischen Arpegiator-Sequencen dieser Zeit treibt der Track in seinem voluminösen Soundtrack Break als Huldigung an den Soundtrack dieser Zeit. Vorwärts treibender Techno vom Besten, was das Genre zu bieten hat.

Back in May, we Debuted a track called "Just"; you might just have heard of it. @feelmybicep are no strangers to breakout belters, but even by their standards this one has been picking up a heap of plaudits. So naturally we're more than willing to help facilitate their next step toward world domination, especially given as it arrives via their own cherished namesake imprint.

This, the title track from another forthcoming collaborative release with Hammer (an artist the Belfast boys are putting serious muscle behind) is equally tense and beguiling. It hooks you in from the word go, with a nagging piano lead, ooft-y mini breakdown and shiver-inducing sirensong calling through the mist. Close your eyes and you can imagine "Dahlia" laying waste to festival stages – oh wait, that actually did actually happen at Bicep's homecoming BR. Go figure.

You can physically feel FMB005 from September 7th.
