Nocturnal Bass #1 - Mano Negra (｡◕‿‿◕｡)

Belgian music maestro, the seriously talented Manu Riga aka Adriaan Baussens is back on remix duties and, once again we're blown away with the vision and skills this guy shows. Manu Riga is responsible for a string of top tracks to come out of Bonzai Progressive in the last several years. His last outing here was on remix duties for Gabriel West and Ricardo Piedra's Tonic EP which followed the hugely popular Fires In The Sky. We're loving the new direction he has taken and we've no doubt his new style is making waves across the scene. The remix here intros with a powerful, gritty stab before punchy kick drums join in alongside crispy bright hi hats. A solid rhythm ensues that moves us, locking us into the groove. A dark yet vibrantly textured sound builds with the addition of various synths and a deep underlying bassline. Swirling noise and mesmeric pads litter the background as a beautiful, rich vocal comes through. The break unleashes the vocal against those encompassing pads before the beats return in tandem with a dark plucky arpeggio and synth stabs. An absolute masterpiece of proggy tech that will dominate the peak time slot no doubt.

Matthieu-F - DJ and Owner/Label Manager of Planet Underground records and Resilient Recordings. He has an unpredictable approach to Techno, his Techno is qualified as highly contagious and his sets always packed with surprises and all sort of quirky stuff. He is The Planet Underground Record label Owner coming from the London Underground scene has been spinning records and producing music since 1996. Moving quickly into production, Matthieu-F managed to put his name on a few record labels such as Midi-Sync recording, Drumworks records, Freshgrind Records, Stomper, Apex, Bubblejam and Future Visions to name a few. He created Planet Underground radio show in 2007, broadcasting from his home studio to start with, then was approached by Techno Fm, Matt went on to move his show on their platform for a number of years, before finally landing on Optical Radio. In 2017 Matthieu-F made the decision for Planet Underground to take another direction and after asking his old friend and fellow, Producer Keita Sato from Japan to become his associate, Planet Underground becomes a record Label. In 2018, he goes on to start Resilient Recordings with Canadian based DJ/Producer Eddie Santini. Matthieu-F’s dedication to his Techno is second to none, the same goes for his dedication to both his labels. Thriving to push the limits of his knowledge every time he plays and produces, and hungry to learn new skills to keep him on his toes. Please enjoy wonderful set he prepared for us!

Presented by SUBWOOFER RECORDS in the Amsterdam Dance Event 2019 festival, together with other artists it manages to reach the 2nd place in the top 100 Beatport ranking. Label owner The Lady Machine is a veteran Brazilian artist with
nearly 20 years of experience on her belt as a purely vinyl DJ.
Following a hiatus from the techno scene, over the past two years
she has cemented her name in the Berlin community playing at the
best events in the city and becoming a resident at the highly-rated
event Pornceptual.
Previously, she has been at the forefront of the underground
electronic scene in Brazil for many years, and her skills have taken
her around the globe over the past two decades, including Asia,
North America, Latin America, and numerous tours of Europe with
club and festival performances across the continent.
Now residing in Berlin, she has launched her on label Unterwegs
and is releasing the second record on her label with some long-
awaited production in the form of two solid, raw techno tracks:
Diligence & Vigilance. Her tracks have been supported and played
by Ben Sims, Dave Clarke, Kr!z, Noncompliant, just to name a few.
Meanwhile, she is continuously working on her own productions
and playing gigs for well established clubs and parties.

Against a Dark Background – the full-length studio album from long-standing British techno duo, Spektre – will be released in early 2020 on Pleasurekraft’s esteemed Kraftek imprint.

Following their critically-acclaimed debut album Casting Shadows Without Light in 2010 and their sophomore outing Cyclic Operations in 2013, Against a Dark Background will be the third studio long-player from partners Paul Maddox and Rich Wakley, who have been producing together under the Spektre moniker since 2006.

Currently in the top five-selling techno artists worldwide and with over 500,000 streams per month on Spotify, Spektre have taken the electronic music world by storm over the past few years, with their forward-thinking productions and high-intensity live performances resonating with legions of loyal techno fans across all corners of the globe.

Now key ambassadors for British dance music on a global level, Spektre’s chart-topping productions have received high praise from the likes of Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Pleasurekraft and Alan Fitzpatrick and the duo are often hailed as one of the most exciting acts to emerge onto the UK techno scene over the past decade.

Talking about the forthcoming album, Spektre commented:

It had been over 5 years since the release of 'Cyclic Operations' when we first started work on the new album in earnest, so we wanted it to be a representation of how our music has evolved in that intervening period. The writing process itself was a lot more reductive than the previous two albums. We holed ourselves up for a few months and hammered out loads and loads of ideas, then filtered and refined the pool through playing them out and getting feedback from a few trusted pairs of ears, until "Against a Dark Background" began to crystallise into its final form.

Brooksie - Bristol-based DJ who's been spinning tunes and smashing dance-floors since 2000. From Funky grooves to harder Acidic beats, Brooksie always picks the right tunes to get the dance floor rocking. Originly started off spinning nu skool breaks, he switched to the harder side of dance music and is now firmly locked into a techno groove. In 2006 he became part of Acidic Sound System whose sell out nights at the Packhorse have became stuff off legend, this led to Brooksie played the Rave Yard stage at Boomtown festival from 2013 till 2017, then back with the Acid Leak stage in area 404 for the 2019 edition of the festival. He's been involved with nights such as Smash Techno, Acidic, Quantum Bleep, Firebreaks, DeadEdit, Tribe Of Frog, Ripsnorter as well as playing at Surplus, Wigfest, Hamswell, Phatdrop and Carry On Avinit festivals and has also been a regular on the dj line up in Sardinia at the Acid Punk Royale techno festival since 2017. Brooksie is also part of Bristol's Brothers Grim Collective who have been promoting now infamous nights at Techno towers and other venues across the city, as well as co-hosting the monthly 'We Speak Techno' podcast on Safehouse Radio with the rest of the Brothers Grim crew which features guest mixes from DJs and producers from around the globe. Revelation Of Sound is pleased to present Mary Yuzovskaya. By way of NYC, Berlin and before that Moscow, vinyl only techno DJ, producer and record label owner Mary Yuzovskaya has been cultivating her unique orbit in the electronic dance music firmament for over 13 years.

Having graced the decks of all Moscow’s hotspots back in the mid-2000s, Mary moved to Berlin, where she quickly became recognised for both her blisteringly-precise vinyl-only techno sets and her painstakingly professional approach to the craft of DJing. Based in New York City since 2013, Mary currently holds a residency at Public Records and solely runs her very own record label called Monday Off, launched in 2017, where she curates and presses work from artists that explore techno's trippier, more hypnotic side. After relocating to the US, Mary quickly became a key figure in its scene, performing regularly at different venues including multiple residencies at some of the city’s institutional parties like Unter, where she was a staple for three years, as well as working as a vinyl distribution manager at renowned Brooklyn-based record shop Halcyon.

Mary has been fortunate enough to share the decks with many talented and internationally recognised musicians such as Blazej Malinowski, Claudio PRC, Dino Sabatini, Edit Select, Ness, Xhin, and many others. She has been busily traveling the world and performing her unique take on techno music’s deeper vibes at many noted clubs and parties across the world, including ://about blank, Basement, Compound (LA), Distillery (Leipzig), OHM, Output (Brooklyn), Propaganda (Moscow), and Tresor, to name only a few.

Berlin Techno 001 - Ben Teufel

Born in Naples in 1989, Diego developed a strong passion for electronic music as he was growing up around Neapolitan club culture as a teenager. 
He started mixing at the age of 16 locally, catching the eye of numerous promoters as he showed talented skills behind the decks. 
In 2011, he was chosen to be part of the infamous Nice To Be project where his collaboration granted him the possibility to grow and push the limits as an artist. It’s when his own style began to shape towards Techno that Diego was inspired to make his own music, and when his unique personality grew as an artist. 
His various releases are among respected labels such as MindTrip Records, Konsequent Records, Nowhere, Etruria Beat, KSR, Nice To Be Rec, Planet Rhythm, Arts e Circular Limited. 
Diego’s career is developing fast with his prominent releases and his experience behind his music knowledge.
