To celebrate 20 years of building Labyrinths, we have decided to release one set from each of the last ten years. I've chosen ten timeless moments that both document the history of the event and provide a historical snapshot of underground electronic music over the past ten years.

We have chosen a broad range--from closing techno sets, to morning ambient sets, to experimental sets to close the night. Each set represents a different side of the event. Taken together, they present a portrait of a decade of music.

テクノのクロージングセットから、朝のアンビエントセット、そして夜を締めくくるエクスペリメンタルセットまで幅広いセレクトですが、どのセットもThe Labyrinthの欠かせない側面を表しており、ここ10年におけるエレクトロニック ミュージックの全容とも言えるでしょう。

A Berlin legend that needs no further introduction, his knowledge in music is academic, a walking library by all means with credentials few DJs can hold a candle to, such as having been a member of The Ennio Morricone Society (MSV - Musica Sul Velluto) - seriously... @finn_johannsen brings us a two part mix of extensive research in Hip-Hop.

In his words: 
"I do not often play hip hop in clubs, but I have been listening to it since the 80s, and collecting it too. I love all kinds of hip hop, but the particular mid 90s to early 00s sound represented in these two mixes is the one I still listen to the most. I must admit that I adopted this sound quite late, as I previously preferred those records punchy and fast enough to be danced to at clubs playing disco, and then house. When the tempo slowed down in the 90s I was initially confused, well maybe even a bit annoyed. But soon enough I adapted to it, and recognized its very own appeal. Doing these mixes has occupied my mind for a while now, but it really came back to my mind during the lockdown, when I couldn't bear to listen to club music because it was just rubbing in what was missing from my life. Sometimes then I felt moody and frustrated as well, and the vibe of this helped me along. The grit, the wit, the roughness, the immensely varied and creative ways of making beats. I must admit the main purpose of these two mixes was to include all my favourite records, so I can listen to them in a row. Of course there are hip hop DJs who do that way better than me (you will probably notice that there is not a single scratch in the whole 7+ plus hours playtime, for example), and I salute them all. But I wanted to have my own personal soundtrack for whatever purpose I felt should be accompanied by this kind of music. I tried and tested it, and I am happy how well it works in different contexts, but they are all nocturnal. This is not really jiggy, mind. But I hope you like it nonetheless. The booming artwork was provided by the mighty King Kummi aka The Druffalo Graphic Squad."

Flying away from the Typhoon Kong-rey with the last plane from Shanghai, arriving straight to Miki Abe, his inaugural wonderful Picnic People Panic to the DJ booth at Womb Tokyo to take over from the superb Alien Sex Friends.

Ryosuke Tsuchiya, who also served as PA, mastered this mix. He used a unique approach, including IR reverb, to simulate the environment of the day with an immersive feel.
WOMB is a club with a very high ceiling and wooden floor. The subwoofer, with its large horn, gives the kick a rich ambience.
