"We Take a duck dive on the approaching wave of COVID BS and dive deep, deep into the depths where we start to be dragged uncontrollably, toward the lights of the deep, Atlantas. There we find a cosmic underwater portal in which underwater mermaids and merman position themselves around singing praises of murky dubbed out swells and aqua-sonic outer-worldly brass instruments...we feel invited and drawn into the portal and wooooSSHHHHHH mutha fuckazzzz......

...we end up washing ashore on what seems to be a beautiful tropical island.... upon wandering up onto the beach and into a clearing in the surrounding tropical jungle, human activity appears distinguishable up ahead... Once again the warm and familiar sounds of horns and blissful hang drums start to fill our auditory experience... 

We follow the sound... to a SHED: overgrown with ancient forest in which we peer through to see Sista Cini on da 1s and 2s mixing down some heavy plates of ultimate reggae, dub and steppahs...we've made it.... bliss.."

Geoff Kowalow is a Buffalo N.Y. born and bred raver with an eclectic personality, and a mixing style to match. Going by the alias ‘Ellen Degenerate’, Geoff’s musical style ranges from the deepest of house, to the hardest of techno, the grooviest of acid, the jungliest D&B, and even maybe to some deep dirty dub if you catch the right moment. There is no limit. There is no rule. Ellen Degenerate’s only intention is to make you move. 

Geoff runs Satellite of Love out of Buffalo alongside U-Lock, Greg Spice, and Meg McGroove. They host events all over the city helping the heads tear up dance floors booking artists like Eris Drew b2b Octo Octa, BMG, Korea Town Acid, Soul II Seoul, Love Letters, Sagotsky, etc. blah blah you get the deal.

"For this mix I decided to take two hits of LSD and see where things go. I’ve been feeling all that funky stuff a lot lately, so I went with some deep house hitters, and tossed some sprinkles of minimal, breaks, garage, and techno in there to keep it weird. I wanted to keep the energy high, the bass lines groovy, and the mood just a little wild at all times. 

Also shoutout to my mans Rufus Gibson not only for the tracks, but for gassing me up and being a homie.

The Standalone Series welcomes this week a seasoned DJ, Urko, (@stefan-urko) also formerly known as REDRUM. This Lille resident was active on the local techno scene for a long time and toured Belgian clubs in the early 2ks, eventually residing in the renowned "The Kiosk" in Lille. With HI-tech Procedure and his friend Eric Fetcher, they also organized a lot of gigs.
After a few years of hiatus, this historian of the northern scene returns to the decks through @moicflo and Les Charades Electroniques, and now on the web-radio ECUnderground where he manages the podcast "Drink My Soul" in the company of your host and Fik.
Very eclectic, he re-explores all styles: electronica, sci-fi techno or the rougher sounds of Birmingham.
He gives us here a rather Dark Electro and rough breaks set which brings together some classics: REGIS, TENSAL or LUKE SLATER, and more felt tracks, from his last encounters and peregrinations with ADJ, VSK, Kim COSMIK, oake or ERRORBEAUTY.
