Dj Sotofett and LNS have established themselves as independent artists not bound by the convention or shackles of ‘industry’. Over the years they have released some of the most innovative and interesting records across a plethora of record labels including Wania, Freakout Cult, Honest Jon’s, SUED and many more.

For years Dj Sotofett has been the powerhouse behind the Sex Tags family of record labels and has never been one to be pigeonholed often releasing music which is hard to place or define. It’s wild and chaotic – just the way we like it. Over the years he has dabbled in Dub, Techno, House and beyond. One thing is for sure though, it’s always been weird and wonderful.

LNS has formed a strong relationship with the Sex Tags family of labels, releasing a number of records in collaboration with Dj Sotofett via the imprint. She has her own label, LNS and has a busy and consistent release schedule which leads to her records being found in the bags of discerning collectors and DJ’s all over.

In recent times the pair have formed a close relationship with Tresor, the longstanding Berlin label and club which has been pivotal in the evolution of underground Electronic music. It appears the pair share a similar sensibility to the DIY ethos which has always been associated with the club.

This year saw them follow up the release of their album on the label with a new EP on the imprint.

Well I'm back.... and HAPPY HOLIDAYS and welcome back to the show…. Somewhere in_____. The FRESHEST podcast out in these streets... at least I like to think so. Anyway Scene 6 takes us to DETROIT for the 2 Year Anniversary of CRUSH at SPKR BOX. CRUSH is a night created by my good friend and fellow artist Joshua Tree... U know the cat who did the dope remix of my track "Yes the water is..." If u don't know u better check it out and go get it! Joshua invited me to play the night with him and a fellow Detroit native Sloth Boss. I decided to change it up a bit and play HOUSE. I have NOT played house in over 5 years and to make matters worse it was an ALL VINYL SET which I have not touched a record in about 3 years...  YEAH! I didn't know what to play so I just threw some records in the box and hit the road. So prepare yourself for a ride which at the time I had NO CLUE what or where I was headed or what I was doing!!!, There were a few technical glitches and mistakes in this mix but I'm not a ROBOT and I'm not famous enough to play out every week. All I can say... the crowd liked it and I got a few free drinks. :)

Why Not

A dense, floating techno track that captures the mood of a foggy autumn morning. Soft ambient pads lay like a milky veil over a deep, pulsating bass foundation. Subtle, organic textures crackle in the background, as if leaves were rustling under gentle footsteps. The kick is warm, muted, unobtrusive – it drives without pushing. Above it glide echoing synth motifs that slowly unfold and disappear back into the haze.

The track has an introspective and atmospheric feel: techno with a calm breath that floats rather than stomps. A melancholic but soothingly soft soundscape, perfect for the early hours of the morning, rainy days or night-time transitions.

Brooklyn-based DJ and producer @antenes has been a regular on The Bunker line-ups for the past decade, playing both ambient and dancefloor DJ sets as well as live. With a record on LIES and a forthcoming release on The Bunker New York, Antenes  tells us that all of the tracks on this podcast: "are very personal and based on a space of time and experiences where I have had a chance to connect with people at all different moods and hours...When I produce or play live I usually have a specific concept for each track or piece,  but my relationship to DJ-ing is that of an audio journal and marking of a time period; unbound, emotional and without any constraints.  I wanted this mix to go through the different moods I experience on a typical day, especially on a weekend that I perform... some of it is dark and foreboding , but it has a hopeful ending .  More than one track I've cried tears of joy playing out  .  So there is a lot of gratitude in this mix too. Starts out at night, but chases the light."
