Speaking of DanzDas is always complicated, as is the lid off Pandora's Box: do not know what will come out but you just know that you're risking big.
DANZDAS, FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE PRESENT: the DanzDas born in early 2001 by a 'idea of Mirko Bolzoni, multi-instrumentalist musician, writer, actor and painter.
The idea is both simple and ingenious: create something that goes beyond the usual patterns artistic-academic but confine itself all kinds of forms of expression: music, literature, painting, sculpture, acting, so many things in one thing: madness!
Madness indeed, I would say that this is the "leitmotif" of the group, the common thread that has always characterized the danzdas, tormented over the years by a line-up highly unstable (defections, resignations, sometimes heartbreaking goodbyes sometimes liberators, sometimes even real defenestramenti!) and by long periods of inactivity interspersed with other overwork.
As said the true deus ex machina of all this, as well as single component always present (and God forbid!) The activities of the group is Mirko, parmesan adoption but true citizen of the world (has relatives scattered around Europe and has stayed for long periods in various cities in and outside Europe).

DANZDAS: MANEGGIARE CON CURA, BIOGRAFIA (NON?) AUTORIZZATA
Parlare dei DanzDas è sempre complicato, è come scoperchiare il vaso di Pandora: non sai cosa ne uscirà ma sai solo che stai rischiando grosso.
DANZDAS, DALLE ORIGINI AI GIORNI NOSTRI: i DanzDas nascono nei primi mesi del 2001 da un’ idea di Mirko Bolzoni, musicista polistrumentista, scrittore, attore teatrale e pittore.
L’idea è al contempo semplicissima e geniale: creare qualcosa che vada al di là dei soliti schemi artistico-accademici ma che racchiuda in sé tutti i tipi di linguaggi espressivi: musica, letteratura, pittura, scultura, recitazione, tante cose in una sola cosa: una follia!
Follia appunto, direi che è proprio questo il “leit motiv” del gruppo.
OK OK, MA…“COSA” SONO I DANZDAS? Sono un modo nuovo di vedere la realtà, sono un paio di occhiali con le lenti colorate, sono la fluorescenza dell’essere, sono la filosofia che non hanno mai scritto sui libri, sono la rivoluzione che non c’è ancora stata, sono irresponsabilità e irriverenza, sono un modo di vivere! Si, essi sono la vita, sono tragedia & follia, gioia & demenzialità, sangue & nuvole!
MA I DANZDAS… COSA FANNO? Se guardiamo al solo lato musicale (comunque riduttivo per il gruppo) la definizione che più si avvicina alla realtà direi è “Sputnik Rock”, termine da noi coniato per identificare un linguaggio che posa le sue basi su fondamenta di matrice chiaramente rock – garage – noise, ma che vira spesso e volentieri verso lidi a volte techno-dance, a volte più introspettivi e spaziali, altre volte decisamente folkloristici e gitani.
Ad amalgamare il tutto vi è una spiccata attitudine Acid-Jazz (a tale proposito citiamo alcune memorabili, lunghe ed estenuanti sessioni di improvvisazione) e soprattutto un sound volutamente ed ostinatamente Lo-Fi, vero marchio di fabbrica del gruppo in tutti questi anni.
DANZDAS, POLIGLOTTI MA NON SOLO: la creatività musicale dei danzdas si estrinseca spesso e volentieri in testi che attingono dai più svariati idiomi linguistici (grazie soprattutto alle conoscenze di Mirko): Tedesco, Russo, Cinese, Portoghese, Fiammingo antico solo per citarne alcuni. In futuro non è escluso di comporre canzoni in altre lingue ancora più “esotiche” come: Yddish, Gaelico antico, Aramaico, Etrusco, a patto di riuscire a trovare dei traduttori.




Produttore invisibile, presenza silenziosa.
MR.BANDIT non parla: registra.
È un prototipo scartato, rimesso insieme da Lady Odio con più rabbia che manuale.

Da fuori è solo ferro, luce e difetti.
Da dentro è un archivio di emozioni che non sa esprimere, quindi le trasforma in musica.

Le sue tracce non “suonano”: sentono.
Sono log emotivi, errori salvati, momenti che non riesce a dire a voce.

Lavora nell’ombra, osserva tutto, capisce poco ma registra tutto.
Lady Odio è l’unica che sembra notare l’anomalia nei suoi sensori:
un barlume di qualcosa che non dovrebbero avere le macchine.

MR.BANDIT non cerca la fama.
Cerca solo di esistere senza fare troppo rumore.

(Non gli riesce quasi mai.)

MR.BANDIT doesn’t speak — he logs.
A discarded prototype rebuilt by Lady Odio with more attitude than instructions.

On the outside he’s metal, glitches and cold light.
On the inside he’s a storage of feelings he can’t process, so he plays them instead.

His tracks don’t “sound”: they sense.
They are emotional logs, saved errors, fragments he can’t voice out loud.

He stays in the shadows, watching, understanding little but recording everything.
Lady Odio is the only one who notices the anomaly in his sensors:
a flicker of something machines aren’t supposed to have.

MR.BANDIT isn’t chasing fame.
He’s just trying to exist without breaking anything.

(He usually fails.)
