He teamed up with Memo Insua for a Peruvian super collab to deliver you »Lost Secrets« - a (by some of you long-awaited) house tune featuring vocals by Andrew Brown.

Boy Next Door left out the vocal to turn the original into a two-fisted dancefloor machine and Kalimero-offspring Flavin Orlando built a mesmerizing piece of peaktime melancholy.

Das junge Produzenten Duo Bacalao & Sonne gibt sich auf Kalimero nach dem ersten Release im Januar noch einmal die Ehre. Mit einem sehr schönen verspielten Klavierlastigen Track Tagliatelle Piano kommt definitiv eine gute Stimmung auf. Kein Wunder, dass dieser Track von Umami nochmal neu interpretiert wurde.. und das perfekt für den Club! Finally Vinyl: Bacalao & Sonne return to Kalimero with a three course menu pressed into the black gold. Their massive „Don't Stop Pushin EP" is keeping all its promises with two straight forward club tracks, both filled with soulful vocal lines driven by hard hitting synths.

As one of their most beloved live tracks of the past months, Bacalao & Sonne are now releasing a true dancefloor treasure by bringing out „Pushin". The blasting synth line is growing throughout the track till it explodes in an athmospheric breakdown.

„Don't Stop" comes along with this cheesy chant which is constantly competing with the synth chord harmony that is getting more and more dramatised and resonant throughout the song.

The remix by the well-known dj -and producer team Kollektiv Ost (3000°) is much more deeper than the original and convinces through its incredible groovy bassline. The elements are the same but the duo's approach is completely different: a remix like it's meant to be.

Born in Wedding, raised in Friedrichshain, slave to the rhythm. Bacalao, Jahrgang `91, hat die Lust am Feiern und den Technosound von Berlin schon mit der Muttermilch aufgesogen.  Seine musikalische Früherziehung: Open Air Partys im Umland, Schlagzeugunterricht im Schulkeller und der gut sortierte Plattenschrank vom Vati. Zum Frühstück The Beatles, Ween, und Gil Scott Heron. Zum Einschlafen Carl Craig, The KLF oder Stereo MCs.

Mit elf Tänzer im ersten Video von International Pony. Mit fünfzehn die zweite Gitarre und auf der Fusion hat es Zoom gemacht.

Heute produziert Bacalao in seinem Homestudio Diskoschnupfen eigene Tracks und feiert mit seinem Kollegen Einfach Jazz als Spacehoppers erste Erfolge als DJ. Seit September 2010 tourt er mit der Partyreihe Feierabend durch die Berliner Clubszene.

In early 2013 Kalimero Records is completely dedicated to "Play." The second release in the relatively new year is the add-on to its predecessor and directly linked to Melchior Bachmann's & exd.will's track. Actually, not intended for publication, Bacalao & Sonne have nevertheless decided to reveal their secret remix of this tune. As soon as you listen to their recreation you will know why: Bacalao & Sonne are telling a story that is definetely worth to listen to, from the first to the last second. They keep the groove from the original and built several melody structures and their well known synth-hooks around it – including one of the most emotional breaks they've ever produced.

May this remix be no secret anymore.

Kalimero Records’ Nr. 008 is coming with three all new productions from Bacalao & Sonne. They slightly renewed their sound into a more cryptic and undefinable kind and reveal a „Hidden Fantasy“ taken deep from the heart of their musical understanding. And so does the artwork. Kalimero’s art director Dario Leo created as much space for different interpretations like the music does.

The A-Side contains “Dimensions” and “Revelation”. The dreamy sound structures, fluffily synth melodies and pending piano chords are making “Dimensions” to Bacalao & Sonne’s most melancholic tune. “Revelation” has this ecstatic synth line, powerful and impulsive – a club tune.
“Strangers” on Side B is the first (but definitely not last) collaboration with Leander, who is a very talented singer and songwriter. A sunset tune, perfect for tepid summer evenings.
