Lian July is no stranger to cultivating some of the best deep house sounds 
around, and nurturing that seedling into the blossoming favorite. Neither 
is Chris Odium, as his compositions are often fused with elements of techno 
or tech-house and then thrown into the deep end of the house pool. The result
is "Feel Me", Pineapple Grooves latest addition to the roster.

This one is nice and steady in speed, creating a nice thick sound that permeates 
walls and makes for a great down and deep track perfect for the dance floor, and 
those walking about outside of the venue who will certainly be attracted to this 
funky and warm groove.

This song started out as an idea about 2-3 months ago - and this time around, this track reminds me of taking a long drive along a scenic coast line - windows down, full of life's emotions... looking out into the distance....

Funnily enough, most of the samples are the same from the original Progressive Soul track... 

For "Audio nerds":
Regarding mixing and mastering - I'm happy to have some imperfections within the track - unfortunately art cannot be perfect ...so if its not loud enough - just turn up the volume ;) - this will be clearer than me "pushing" the dynamics of the track and squashing your ears...

The compilation is inspired by our weekly radio show of the same name, which is co-hosted by Jacob and Tom, as well as Johan Vilborg, Jayeson Andel, Vintage & Morelli, & Terry Da Libra. Reaching international listeners on Proton Radio, Digitally Imported, and other radio platforms, Silk Music Showcase recently reached its 400th episode (http://www.silkmusicshowcase.com) and now often ranks amongst the Top 100 Music Podcasts in the USA on iTunes.

Carefully selected to represent the sound of our radio show (and, more generally, our label), the songs included in the compilation range from the more pensive and melancholic shades of progressive to the more club-oriented, peak-hour material we tend to play at the end of our radio show mixes and live sets. My oh my, it's been a long while. 

Musical creativity has been at an all time low this year. 
But at last, something has come together :)

I was playing around with some tribal drums, fooling around and mixing them with some deep progressive chords - and all it just clicked...

This song is backed with some traditional African chanting(Ghanaian I believe) - to add that background ambience.

2019 was a breakthrough year for Vintage & Morelli, as he not only dropped his acclaimed artist album ("Hymn To The Night"), but also headlined our Silk Music Showcase #500 Tour across six US cities this past summer. V&M's longtime friend and muse Arielle Maren proved to be a major contributor to "Hymn To The Night," with five official collaborations on the album.

One of their standout tracks together, "Lonely Shore," now receives the remix treatment from celebrated veteran duo Blood Groove & Kikis, as well as the legendary RNX (aka Robert Nickson), who co-produced the original version of the track. In the final analysis, all three versions of "Lonely Shore" offer unique arrangements that fall somewhere along the progressive electronic music spectrum, but the radiant melodies and ineffably affecting vocals of Arielle Maren shine through them all.
