She walked in like a whisper, silk on tile
Red wine lips, cigarette smile
Her glove hit the floor like a dare, like a flag
“You find things, don’t you?” she said with a drag
The file said “missing,” but the trail was warm
Hotel ledger signed in a trembling form
Room 6 smelled of jasmine and gunpowder
The mirror cracked, but her perfume was louder
It’s a game of smoke and velvet lies
Where truth wears heels and alibis
She’s the queen of hearts, I’m the queen of doubt
And every move’s a whisper till I call it out
The bellhop flinched when I asked her name
Said she checked in twice, but never came
A matchbook folded in a lover’s code
And a lipstick note that said “I owed”
She never blinked when I said his name
But her pulse betrayed the flame
The lace she wore was stitched in grief
And every thread spelled disbelief
There was blood on the cuff of her coat
A receipt for a room she never wrote
A photo torn, just half a face
And a diamond ring in a velvet case
She said he vanished, left her cold
But the bruises bloomed in stories told
She wasn’t chasing ghosts or men
She was chasing silence once again
