If you missed it or want to relive it, we’re broadcasting The Peaking Goddess Collective’s live performance at Mundo de Oz Festival this April.

The Peaking Goddess Collective, a three-piece live digital & organic band known for its outstanding and longstanding performances, was born in Switzerland in 2003. Originally founded by guitarist Ajja S.F. Leu, bass-player Master Margherita and percussionist Dymons , it reached its current formation a year later when flutist Flooting Grooves joined in. The PGC is often linked with Peak Records.
Masterfully fusing acoustic instruments & electronic devices to form a unique style – the Collective is known for its unmistakable approach to trance, be it chilled ethnic beats, expansive morning trance or foot-stomping psytrance.

Each musician in the PGC actively participates in the live and studio sound designing and tweaking. During their much appreciated live performances, several laptops are synchronised and most of the tracks are spread out over more then one computer. Bass-lines, hi-hats, samples and synth-lines are dropped in live and the instruments are run through loopers and master fx boards, giving their shows a very spontaneous and organic feel, while ensuring that the sonic quality is top-notch. You could safely say that until they are playing live at a party or recording in the studio, their tracks only exist in potential…

Since its formation The Peaking Goddess Collective has performed extensively in parties, festivals and happenings around the world, including the Boom Festival, Soulclipse, Zoom, Doof, Life Festival, Alex Grey’s MicroCOSM gallery and the Berlin Tattoo Convention. The Collective’s live feasts have pleased crowds in Switzerland, Portugal, Germany, Holland, England, Ireland, Scotland, Turkey, Israel and the USA. In the second half of 2007, the PGC will perform in festivals around Europe, including the Wickerman Festival and the Psychedelic Ceilidh.

The PGC has contributed with several chill intro and outros on Peak night-time compilations, as well as full-fledged compositions on each of Peak Records’ chill compilations. Many of its live performances have been recorded and self-released. “Organika ”, the Collective’s debut studio album was released on Peak Records on August 17, 2007.

Although its members have all established themselves successfully as separate musical entities, they continue to perform together in trance parties and music festivals worldwide – because they enjoy the organised chaos of playing together, and all are in agreement that their Collective works are often richer and more diverse then their solo projects. The sum is greater than its parts…

 ‘Satisfied’ is a slice of sophisticated dance music that nails the sweet spot between headphones and dancefloor. It sees Catching Flies focusing his attention on the dancefloor for the first time with stunning results – ‘Satisfied’ is highly textured, deeply melodic and effortlessly marries live instrumentation (guitars, harps, a string quartet…) with warm electronics. The single consists of a three-track package, including a more immediate Edit and an ‘Ambient Reprise’ which serves as a hazy recollection of the night before. As Catching Flies explains: ‘the tune has so many different layers and tracks (186 to be precise!) and went through various different versions over time… so I wanted to celebrate that.’

Scotland-Based producer and DJ, Khromi, made his first appearance on Dank 'N' Dirty Dubz when he collaborated with Liquid Memoirs on the incredibly well-received track, "Particles". Arguably one of the smoothest artists on the label, he's been hard at work for over a year meticulously crafting this incredible album titled "Traveller In A Strange World". The release showcases Khromi's ability to take deep, jazzy, melodic, and improvisational dubstep to the next level. Since the 1980s, Minoru Tsunoda has been working as a vocal and guitarist in alternative rock bands. In 1998, as a guitarist he joined the unit of DJ TSUYOSHI, “JOUJOUKA” where he still operates as a computer manipulator. He started his DJ career at the same time, appearing at many Japanese events and festivals such as FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL. He actively performs overseas especially in Asian countries. He is not held back by genre, and mixes trance, techno, house and rock, and aims to create a new type of Psychedelic Trance. He also shows a very unique performance with his avant-garde style of playing the guitar while DJing.
He continues to create tracks and remixes as well, and in 2010 he released the long awaited first solo album “BLOW” touring over 20 venues, expanding his audience. In the recent years he has been actively doing remix works, such as Ace Ventura & Symbolic’s “Prime Time Joujouka Remix” (IbogaRecords ) and Captain Hook & Perfect Stranger – “Perfect Hook Joujouka Remix”.
In addition, he worked on diverse collaborations, like the track “Funky Gong” on the album “UP” released in 2011withrenowned UK guitarist Steve Hillage as Gong / System7, with whom he also later performed Live in March 2015 at Ageha, Tokyo. In November 2015, Funky Gong’s long-awaited 2nd Album “Beyond The Light” has been released. Currently, This work combines a variety of musical elements, depicting MINORU musical world.
