Coupled with the Biters flair for late 70's arena power and massive cheap trick style pop hooks,"Indigo" provokes  the timeless sounds of the glory days of rock n roll,though frontman Tuk Smiths native-georgia drawl  keeps this track grounded and feeling like a modern classic. It is rumored that Smith has stated the inspiration for the song came through communication and channeling with inter-dimensional beings and is based off the belief of the new age/occult theory called "indigo children'' or "indigo people".

DADDY ROLLIN’ STONE - Johnny thunderised this Northern Soul gem, but this dynamic version was left shelved after Johnny later re-recorded it with Steve Marriott and the Sex Pistols for his ‘SO ALONE’ album.
LONDON BOYS – this run-through rocks & rolls at a fiercely break-neck tempo.  It was left shelved with just a guide vocal after Johnny also later re-recorded it with the Pistols for his ‘SO ALONE’ album. 
NEW YORK - Written by Johnny with a riff inspired by Willie Dixon’s ‘Spoonful’ the trio taped a complete run through as Johnny’s  extemporized guide vocal sketched his lyric idea.  Left abandoned until now, this track offers both a rare insight into the recording process that led to the ‘SO ALONE’ album as well as a unique glimpse into a new blues-ier direction which at the time Johnny had hoped to pursue for his aborted follow-up album.  
HURTIN’ - 17 year old guitarist Henri-Paul had joined the sessions (appearing on ‘DADDY ROLLIN’ STONE’ and ‘LONDON BOYS’ on this EP) and played one of his own songs to Johnny, who made a few tweaks and christened it ‘Hurtin’’ which was released as a single b-side.  This is an alternative full length version that was mixed in 1978 by Steve Lillywhite and is previously unreleased. 


This Remarquable 10” is housed in a special colour picture bag which also includes a 4-page fold out colour poster and photos of the band taken in  Island Studios during the recording of these tracks in 1978 plus liner notes
