Desmond Thurston otherwise known as Nappy Boi a South African producer and beat maker started his professional music journey as a DJ, making the transition into producing and beat making 4 years ago, technically inspired by industry heavyweights Timbaland, Dr Dre, and Swizz Beatz ; with neo soul, RnB,  hip hop  being Nappy’s ongoing influences when beat making.
From humble beginnings a commitment to integrity, a lifelong love for music, passion for mentoring and drive to give young artists opportunities Nappy Boi mentors 15 artists with music genres spanning across hip hop, trap, and RnB. Open minded and a big believer in allowing artist’s expressive freedom ‘Uncle Nappy’ as he is known to the artists he works with describes he’s studio vibe as creative, fun, authentic, collaborative yet hardworking shown in the recent and upcoming number of releases from he’s indie label dedicated to supporting young raw talent; North Side Records, a namesake paying homage to the north side of the producers small home town of Matatiele Eastern Cape.
Self-taught Nappy brings his love of the 808 to his beat making shown in the release of ‘Premonition’ debut album by North Side Records artist Black Bandit a body of work NB also produced. Other recent release ‘Submissions’ by King Slayer and Elvis Carter demonstrates how far Nappy has come with honing he’s natural talent into polished production skills.

Kamohelo Lebenya better known as "Grim Cloudy" is a 21 year old Alternative-Rap artist born 15 February 2001 in small town  in the Eastern Cape, Matatiele, 4730 and is currently based in Durban, 031. He dropped his first ever single titled "Please Don't Kill Me" in August 2021, which instantly grabbed people's attention, earning over 10k plays on SoundCloud. Grim Cloudy then went to releasing "Hustle Proud" and "Love Interlude" on SoundCloud which also got over a thousand plays each. After that, Grim Cloudy then moved onto releasing his music on other major music streaming platforms as well.
