Instead of a Kill is a deathcore/death metal band from Belgrade, Serbia. The band was formed in 2009 by Jovan Dorkin (Draconic) and Marko Galantić who are also the only founding members remaining. The band has recorded a demo called “Divination” in 2009 and a single titled “Awake I Die” in 2013 which was followed by signing with 10th Legion Records from Australia and announcing release of a full-length LP titled “Skinwalker” in 2013. The line-up is completed by Marko Danilović (Space Eater) on drums, Vuk Stanovčić on bass, and Aleksandar Grujić on guitar. Skinwalker was met with positive response and it’s currently available for streaming at their official Bandcamp page (http://insteadofakill.bandcamp.com/). On Fall 2013, Instead of a Kill began the writing process for the next album, which will be “more brutal, heavier, and more technical.”

Sensing the call of the beat in the deep, tech and techno sound that swept the continent in the late 1990s, Bosnian DJ Sinisa Tamamovic hit his own decks with an endless string of gigs in his hometown of Banja Luka, Bosnia And Herzegovina. Tamamovic began captivating local audiences, setting the stage for what would become a distinguished career.

As years unfolded, Sinisa has established a reputation for throwing mind-numbing parties across Europe, attracting a legion of followers willing to cross borders to get a taste of his twisted techno, tech-house and minimal beats.

Since 1999 Sinisa has successfully partnered with fellow Banja Luka DJ Mladen Tomic in their Urban Beat organization. Quickly recognizing a niche to fill in the recovering Bosnia, Urban Beat has evolved as probably the country’s foremost promoter of events and parties by booking top drawer international names to satisfy a hungry home crowd.

Sinisa has drawn a legion of followers by playing all over Europe, Latin America and the United States presenting his personal style with miraculous mixing skills to some of the finest festivals worldwide.

In 2011, Sinisa made the move to London, England where he continues to expand his own musical journey.

December 2005, a milestone year for Sinisa’s career, marks his first original vinyl release which opened the doors to an international calling. Since then, Sinisa put out a stream of original tracks and remixes for the biggest names and record labels in the scene. Throughout the years, he continued with an impressive list of releases on Dubfire’s legendary label Sci+Tec, Tronic, Mindshake Records, Plus 8 Records, Second State, Kraftek, Truesoul, Yoshitoshi, Elevate, Senso Sounds, Systematic Recordings as well as expanding his own label Night Light Records with fresh talents and renowned names.

Recognized by his unique energetic sound and distinct organic drums, Sinisa hit the Top 4 position on the tech house Beatport chart with the track ‘Who We Are’ that came out on 1605 in June 2011 and pursued with another Top 4 track ‘Waking Up’ released on Sci+Tec in August 2011. This was the moment when nothing could stop Sinisa shaking the most important music charts and breaking boundaries with his remarkable heavy bassline for years to come.

In October 2012, he collaborated on a track with Paco Osuna, which was released on Richie Hawtin’s famed imprint Plus 8 Records. Later on, he continued delivering other remixes and musical collaborations with Umek, Joseph Capriati, Jay Lumen, Secret Cinema, Eddie Amador, Pleasurekraft, Tom Middleton, 6400 Crew, Felix Krocher and many more. Sinisa’s music was spread far and wide and infiltrated into the many sets of Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Paco Osuna, Monika Kruse, Carl Cox, Pan-Pot, Umek, Joseph Capriati, Hot Since 82, Timo Mass just to name a few and transmitted at the most famous radio stations such us BBC Radio.

In den vier Spielstätten – Schauspielhaus, Kammerspiele, Box und Bockenheimer Depot – bringen renommierte Regisseur:innen wie Jan Bosse, Felicitas Brucker, Barbara Bürk, Jan-Christoph Gockel, Mateja Koležnik, Claudia Bauer und Johanna Wehner sowohl Klassiker als auch zeitgenössische Dramatik auf die Bühne.

The story of the Velahavle began when the boys from the same street in Sarajevo's Ciglane met to play together. 
First lineup were Armin Hujić (guitars), Džanan Hujić (drums, recruited because he was Armin's brother and had really nice mustaches), Rizvan Mehmedbašić (Synths) and Samir Hodović (vocal), later to be joined by Edvin Kovacevic (bass), MC Kara (first as MC and after DJ) and Nedim Ilijazovic who replaced Armin Hujić on guitars. 
Velahavle performed across the country and Europe, and released two albums - Reconnect (2005) and What About Now (2012), with moody sound that actually reflects influences of genres that the band members love, and that has always been difficult to classify into a single category. Generally, their sound can be best described as a fusion of different genres: in the beginning it was a post-punk, early Bristol trip-hop, and later drum'n'bass, but lately there are admixtures of synth pop of the 80s, first time introduced on "What about now". Major influence on their art had Kemal Okan, producer of the album "Reconnect".

Work on the first album Reconnect was marked by two very fortunate events. Kemal Okan, the producer of the album "Reconnect", played in Sarajevo in 2003. He was approached by Samir Hodović, who knocked on the door of his hotel room and gave him a demo tape, wanting to hear his opinion on the material. Kemal Okan was impressed with tracks, and took upon himself the role of a producer for whole album. Another fortunate event happened during the Reconnect recording sessions, when band members met Ralitsa Kashova, Bulgarian singer, who performed on the song Prituri se planinata, which was first very successful single from the Album. 

Reconnect has been recorded in Pavarotti Music Center in Mostar, and produced in Studio 5 in Paris, France and Cryptic Audio in Glasgow, Scotland, and finally released in November 2005. 

The process of making their second album began in late 2009 and lasted three years. Meanwhile, Kemal Okan quit producing music for private reasons, but Velahavle found an excellent producer in Bosnia-Herzegovina - it is Billain, a young Sarajevo DJ and producer.

In February 1999, three longtime friends from West Texas went to a pizza place in Austin, Texas, for a prearranged meeting with a young man from Illinois. The Illinoisan had just moved to Austin, and he had put up a flyer that caught the interest of the others. They ate pizza and discussed movies and arcana. They also decided to meet the next day with their various instruments (two guitars, bass, and drums). This happened, and over the coming months they picked a band name, then picked a better band name, then wrote and recorded an album. That album, called How Strange, Innocence, was largely out of tune, but the band members didn't really notice at the time. They optimistically printed 300 copies, and gave most of them away. It turned out they really liked playing together, so they kept doing so. A friend of theirs sent a recording of one of their live shows to a record label in Baltimore, and that label offered to put out albums for the band. The band agreed.
