Laure Croft is a force to be reckoned with. After brief stints in the house and hardcore scene, the 26-year old Dutchie finally settled into what she feels to be her true musical home; the underground (queer) techno scene. 

Feeling safe in this new and exciting environment, Laure started to spin records, supported and surrounded by great people, and instantly realized that this is what she wanted to do. 

Her musical philosophy is both pragmatic and beautifully simple; it has to keep you going! With as little breaks as possible, Laure takes her dancers on a wild ride of stripped down, fast-paced 4x4 sexy bounciness, most records stemming from the time period of 1995-2005. 

Having been told many times by male colleagues that women simply don’t have what it takes, Laure advocates for more inclusive lineups in all regards, so that great talent can also be seen and especially heard. 

For Laure empathy is key, but also remember to always keep it sexy.

FrenzyPodcast.113 Slin

Our 113th FrenzyPodcaat will be provided by the German DJ Slin. Both solo and with his freshly started duo-project ‘Samba Massacre’, together with Borvac, Slin is pushing the old school sound. Staying true to the old school, Slin plays vinyl only and seeks to push the boundaries constantly. This is already noticeable with Samba Massacre.

For no.113 Slin dived into his vinyl record selection and picked some of his favorite old school gems. Slin crafted a one-hour mix where once again becomes clear why he is one of the best vinyl DJ’s of the newer generation. For this edition of the mix series, we invited both DJ and producer Jan Goertz. His productions as well as his mixes are refined and versatile as he explores the different atmospheres and subgenres of techno. Inspired by the club culture as he believes techno is "functional and works for and in a club. That's what this music is made for." 

The mix showcases a selection of 48 tracks through an unconventional way of mixing by using loops to create unity. 4-deck mixing and playing with a variety of elements is how he keeps the listener on their toes. His soulful track selection and minimalist approach give this mix character.

VSSR is a DJ, producer and co-founder of ANTIDOTE Amsterdam; a mix and event series focusing on promoting upcoming talent. Over the past two years, he has been working on his production skills, which has led to releases on labels with the likes of BCCO, Synergie and re:flect.

VSSR always aims at keeping a constant flow while mixing new tracks with older ones, characterized by funky basslines, vocals & tribal grooves. With his tracks, DJ sets and ANTIDOTE events, he wants to make people dance and give them a great time on the dance floor.

Up next for our series, we have Romens Dawn, a DJ and producer based in Amsterdam. He describes his sound as a reflection of his own personality, showcasing a variety of sounds in his tracks. From dark undertones to playful grooves and trancey textures, Romens Dawn's music aims to make people dance regardless of their culture or background.

Recently, he has been steadily releasing music with hypnotizing sequences and powerful rhythms. In addition to his own releases, he has performed at various venues and events, including Club BASIS, Radion, Intercell's recent Indoor Festival Weekender, Garage Noord, and even made his debut in Belgium.

For the mix he recorded for us, he has provided a blend of fast-paced rhythms with a minimal and tribal approach, creating an overall sonic experience.

For his mix for Miao Music he kept a steady groove of hypnotic techno at a nice rolling fast pace for the listener. It's a sound that he's been attracted to lately as he's been playing more peak hour and closing sets around Adelaide.
