Melbourne producer Harvey Sutherland returns with “Cigarette”, the third in his series of stripped-back dancefloor tracks from the prolific synthesizer enthusiast and club DJ. 

Cigarette is smokey, lo-fi machine funk, drawing a lineage between Sutherland’s earlier hardware jams like “Superego” and his enduring obsession with 00s-era minimal techno and microhouse from artists like Akufen, Luomo and Ricardo Villalobos. It bubbles and fizzes along, giving way to some moody synth melodies before falling back into its chopped-up rhythms.
