A government committee investigating the fighting which erupted in June in Wau State released a report on August 11th, concluding that both soldiers and civilians killed during the attack were targeted on ethnic grounds. The report says some elements from South Sudan’s different forces also looted shops and committed other crimes. Tito Justin reports for VOA from Juba.

Some South Sudanese musicians are using music to promote peace across the country. Nine Juba-based artists recently recorded a song that condemns revenge attacks and the insecurity affecting much of South Sudan. Tito Justin spoke to some of the musicians and has this report for VOA from Juba.

Armed Men Displace 400 Homes, Distroy Properties In Yei, Bishop Adeba.

As the South Sudan conflict enters its fourth year, a renowned local musician is using his songs to promote peace across the country. Singer/songwriter Isaac Lumori, also known by his stage name “McLumoex,” launched a 23-song album over the weekend, which advocatES for peace across South Sudan.  Dozens of local ARTISTS and hundreds of fans gathered at the Nyakuron Cultural center in Juba to attend the album launch. Tito Justin was there and has this report for VOA from Juba.

In recent months, some public buses and motorbike taxies in the capital Juba have stopped operating. Now businesses are also beginning to be affected across South Sudan because goods cannot be transported.
