Berlin-based Curses brings a romantic edge to the dance floor, blending 80's New Wave, the darker side of Italo-Disco and flashes of EBM with his own ghostly vocals.

The debut album from Curses, 'Romantic Fiction' dropped on Jennifer Cardini's Dischi Autunno imprint in October 2018, launching his live act which brings the guitars, vocals and energy of the album to stage as a duo. Whether it's DJng in the main room at Circoloco DC-10, or performing live at festivals like, Nuits Sonores, Curses brings punk and new wave energy to all dance floors of any size.
Curses has also released on labels such as Permanent Vacation, Bordello A Parigi, Oráculo Records, and Wrong Era, and curated a double- LP vinyl compilation (NEXT WAVE ACID PUNX) Via Belgian powerhouse, N.E.W.S, showcasing a passion for New Beat, Early EBM, Post-punk and obscure Italo which gained critical acclaim worldwide. The 2nd album, 'Incarnadine' returned to Dischi Autunno in April, 2022, with a special edition vinyl in collaboration with Parisian Fashion brand, Saint Laurent.

Curses continues to bring a romantic and punk energy to the club, threading the ethereal nostalgia of the 80s and 90s into the future of now.

As we step into the rhythm of 2024, Loser Records celebrates its 5th anniversary! Come join us for the kickoff of another year of our beloved Loser Podcast series and let Rosa Red help you transcend your winter blues and start into the new year with fresh energy. A perfect warmup for her upcoming appearance at Nachtiville Festival happening January 19th to 22nd at Weissenhäuser Strand.

Rosa Red's musical beginnings lie in the psychedelic and spherical niches of Rock as well as learning her craft by playing Bass and Singing in Post Punk and Shoegaze Bands.

Exploring what the music universe also had to offer, Rosa soon got immersed in the vast world of electronic music and found herself trading the bass guitar with turntables.

Fascinated by the variety of styles and possibilities, this newfound world had to offer, the Berlin based artist took her musical journey to House, Breakbeat and Rave euphoria, while sitting comfortably between genres. You can hear her broad range in her DJ sets (which made her a regular at Munich's super club Blitz and a staple in Berlin's nightlife circle) and in her productions. The logical progression from playing music to making music led Rosa to her first two EPs landing, both of which landed on planet Permanent Vacation, who share a tight bond and a musical vision with Rosa Red. 

Recently, she remixed Known Artists Hit ‚I Need‘ and released a Remix Version of her EP ‚Rhapsody‘ featuring Aldonna, Known Artist and Zombies in Miami. For this mix, she focused on the housy side of her collection.

This mix is dedicated to my daughter Maria-Dalia Leilani.

On a sleepless night, I sat on the terrace at the Magyakurtat Festival in Hungary, just before my set, and gazed up at the sky. My thoughts drifted far, and my heart yearned to establish a spiritual connection with my child. Suddenly, 6 or 7 shooting stars appeared in the sky, emerging from the ether. At that moment, I felt her presence, the spiritual conception of her soul. She revealed herself there, born from God's creation, descending from the heavens to materialize. It was as if she appeared to me supernaturally, offering me comfort and assurance that she is always with me, no matter how physically distant we may be.

The story of Maria-Dalia Leilani has shown me that faith in something greater than myself can move mountains and guide me through difficult times. We have gone through a tough time together, even when doctors, family, and friends tried to take away my faith. Despite it all, we never gave up and always believed, even when it seemed impossible.

Maria-Dalia Leilani has made it clear to me that faith is the heart of my life. It is the source of hope that drives me to pursue my dreams, even when they seem unattainable. Her example teaches me that faith in something greater has the power to make the impossible possible and reveal to us the beauty and grandeur of God.

I have learned that faith in something higher gives me the strength to hold on even in the darkest moments and not give up. It is a reminder that holding onto my beliefs and chasing my dreams can bring me the gift of heaven - whether in the form of inner peace, spiritual fulfillment, or rediscovering faith in my heart.

Long overdue, but finally it’s going to happen. Listen to our newest podcast made by one of the most charming people we know: LUX. 
Hard for us to think about Leipzig and everything we love about the city‘s electronical scene and not to mention her. As former part of the IO Collective, dancing the pain away together in the woods and meadows countless days and nights, taking first babysteps as nervous DJs together, noticing her eating plastic deco apples on the Conne Island dancefloor, experiencing sunrise romanticism in Olganitz or by just watching all the photos she took over the years as Leipzigs scene and friendship-chronist over and over again.
The perfectly mixed and thoughtful selected podcast she contributed has everything we love about her and her music. This time a bit more „darker“ as usual (at least some of us would say), eclectic and elusive in a good way and non-stop with this special Lux-feeling in it what makes her one of the best DJs this city originated. Emotional, warm, meandering and truly danceable.  
Now living in Berlin and traveling around the world  she will always have a place in our hearts and parties even if we sadly can´t hang around as much as we used to.
