With over 35 years behind the decks, Stuart-J is a true veteran of the UK rave and underground music scene. His journey began in 1988/89 at just 14 years old, cutting his teeth in the warehouse and rave scene alongside his oldest friend, Matt Smith. As the scene evolved, so did his sound—moving through Breakbeat Hardcore (1990–93), Jungle and Drum & Bass, before returning to his roots in House music during the mid-90s.

By the late 90s and early 2000s, Stuart-J had fully immersed himself in the Nu Skool Breaks movement, co-founding The Acid Brother project with MattEmulsion. Their distinct sound and energy earned them residencies with iconic promotions like Moondance and Culture Shock.

Always drawn to the raw energy of early 90s Hardcore, Stuart-J’s sets are a homage to breakbeats, basslines, and the rave spirit that shaped him. In 2023, a chance reconnection with longtime friend and producer Solartrak led to a new creative chapter—Nucl3u5. Influenced by Old Skool Rave, their debut EP was met with praise across the scene. Since then, they’ve released two EPs and continue to push boundaries in the studio.

Now stepping out as a solo producer, Stuart-J has launched his own label, #NewSkool! Recordings, as a platform to express his love for Breakbeat, mid-90s House, and Hardcore. His debut track MIDI EYES kicks off a fresh wave of original releases, with plenty more in the pipeline.

Throughout his career, Stuart-J has played across pirate, legal, and internet radio including Centreforce, Labyrinth, Fantasy FM, Sunrise FM, and Shine 879. His live performances span legendary events such as Moondance (resident), Raindance, Freedom2Dance, Back2’89, Labyrinth, Sunrise, Epidemic, Slip Back In Time Ibiza, BugJam, VW Action, United Festival, We Are FSTVL, The World Body Painting Festival, Dirty Stereo, House & Classics, Revival, Freaky Disco, Miss Moneypenny’s, Miss-Behaving, Culture Shock (resident), and many more.

From pirate radio to global stages, and now into the studio with original productions, Stuart-J continues to celebrate and evolve the sound of the underground—bringing decades of passion, energy, and authenticity to every set and release.

Kaos Kid better known as Charlie Beardmore has run club night Glamorous LDN for the past 10 years.

2017 was the birth of Glamorous Recordings and since then Charlie has released a number of tracks alongside some other popular artists producing at the moment.

Charlie had success by getting to Number 1 in the Top 100 Track it Down House chart with “To The Funk” in 2017 followed by a Number 2 track “Bounce With It”.
Glamorous Recordings also had another Number 1 track with Daniel Anthony’s “So Good” in 2018.

More success came in 2020, getting in to the Top 10 Traxsource Chart for the first time with "Redtube" and is now regularly breaking in to the Top 100. 

Charlie had 21 releases in 2021 on labels such as Anonymous Black, Smoking Joe, Below Deck and Glamorous Recordings.

2022 and 2023 was just as busy with 8 releases on Glamorous Recordings, Rudeboy Music and LW Recordings including a top ten position with "Open Your Eyes".

2024 saw more releases with some huge hitting tracks.

With more music scheduled for release this year expect it to be a busy 2025 for Kaos Kid.
