After the big success of our first EDIT SERIES with German chief DELFONIC, Nómada Records feels like doing a new edit series in order to keep paying a homage to the roots of HOUSE MUSIC. Nómada Records joins forces again with Marcus Lindner a.k.a DELFONIC to present DELFONIC EDITS Pt. II where genres such as Disco, Afro, Funk, and Boogie are the strong dish. As we know DELFONIC has created and managed plenty of labels and released music on well known labels such as Money $ex Records, Oye Records and Toy Tonics.

DELFONIC EDITS is a four track EP which opens with “Don’t Stop Dancing” a 70’s fresh dance track with a infectious pecussion, strong strings, warm synths and powerful vocals followed by “Into The Stars” a brazilian bombshell where boogie and funk match perfectly. Perfect track for chilin and start the night. The B-Side is a homage to afro funk and dance scene “Let The Music Take Control” a 70’s eclectic dance turned into an infectious deep mood dj that will make you dance all night long. and last but no least the release close with “Into The Galaxy” it’s an edit of one of the funkiest track ever made by rare disco rock band “WAR”.

'Jimpster’s last release Burning Up showed a slightly different string to his bow, delivering a driving electronic jam which married a speaker wobbling analogue bassline with jacking, disco-tinged beats.  While we wait for the remix package which includes stunning interpretations from Bawrut, Charles Webster and Telfort he has been busy cooking up three original tracks which make up the Curve EP.

The title track keeps things sweet and smooth with floating synth lines and punctuating stabs riding a trademark Jimpster bassline.  As it develops he introduces a classic chord riff lifting the energy and cranking up the feel-good factor making for a unique and musical mood-setter which will get well and truly under your skin. 

Next up we have The Sweetness Of That Song which keeps things on a jazz tip with Rhodes chords, Juno pads and a funked-up bassline working the their magic.  Jimpster has a knack for making things appear deceptively simple whilst introducing subtle elements and more complex lines and textures to keep the interest but without cluttering the raw, house groove.

Finally, things get ultra blissed-out on Simmering Down where dense layers of stuttering pads build upon each other forming a beautiful wall of sound, snatches of voice drifting into focus for a fleeting moment before disappearing into the ether.  A dream-like mood but with a powerful low end and precision groove ensuring this one will hold it’s own on discerning dance-floors out there.'

Nebraska’s ninth release on his Friends & Relations label presents further explorations of his ‘old records spun in new directions’ ethos. Opener ‘Deep Tune’ places a classic Memphis soul-man monologue in a new, resonant, percussively hypnotic setting. ‘Drum Track 01’ is spacious dub workout, all bass, drum and atmospherics. Side B brings us ‘Shift’; tranced-out 80s soul examined in microscopic detail. ‘Drum Track 02’ is a reframing of a crackly, wild percussion workout with dive-bombing bass drops. 

As per previous F&R releases, this is limited to 300 copies on vinyl and is available from 20th July.
