To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Defected Records presents a series of extra special collaborative releases Together, integrating talent from the label’s storied past and the stars of its future as Darius Syrossian and Olive F unite again for ‘Cereal Groover’ featuring Fountain Sound. Moxy Muzik label boss Darius Syrossian is known globally for his work as a modern house innovator, now acting as a mentor to the burgeoning talent Olive F. Their numerous B2B sets together, including for BBC Radio 1 Dance Presents, Defected’s ambitious 25-DJ livestream and at Defected’s Ushuaïa Ibiza residency, prove that the bond between these two electronic artists is one to watch. Now the pair enlist the help of vocalist and Moxy studio expert Fountain Sound for their latest single, ‘Cereal Groover’; as a deliciously crunchy four-on-the-floor kick dominates, Fountain Sound’s fresh vocals are supported by hypnotic guitar loops and modern production to create a unique and hard-hitting club record.

New Jersey house master Harry Romero returns to DFTD with a pair of club damagers ‘Together / The Beat Goes On’. Harry Romero’s fiery sets are revered around the world, with 2024 seeing him bring his sound to Bronze Beach in Amsterdam with Defected - plus the label’s Australasian Tour across Bali, Sydney and Melbourne. Despite being one of house music’s most in-demand live DJs, Harry Romero’s catalogue of underground hits continues to grow, with September seeing him release on legendary NYC label Nu Groove with ‘The Monk / Shoot Your Shot’. Now he returns to Defected sister label DFTD with two tracks built for the club; ‘Together’ utilises an uplifitng spoken-word sample over hypnotic basslines that ricochet in bliss, while ‘The Beat Goes On’ shows Romero’s percussive abilities, incorporating all types of drum patterns and rhythms to create an eruption of sound.

Having previously impressed on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax imprint, the pair unite for a two-track offering of punchy dancefloor ammunition on Jones’ party-series turned label.

Recently collaborating on their successful single ‘Lovin On Me’ via CUFF, earning support from Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1, Goosey and Jamie G aren’t holding back with their groove-powered sound. Riding a wave of impressive releases, the duo have captivated fans with joint and solo projects on respected labels like SOSA’s COCO, Detlef’s Issues, and Classmatic’s Organic Pieces, earning love from Michael Bibi, Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers and more. Now, hitting up Jamie Jones’ Paradise Music for the first time, the pair pack a punch with their two-track party-flavoured EP, ‘Way U Move’.

“We've been hitting Paradise together every year since 2018, and it was on the dance floor at DC10 where we both knew this was what we wanted to do. When the Paradise label was announced last year, we discussed the idea of working on an EP together. Fast forward to July - we played together for CUFF in Manchester, then spent the week after in the studio creating the two tracks, and a few days later, Jamie played them both at Amnesia. We couldn’t be more excited to sign to one of Jamie's labels again as he’s been an inspiration of ours since the beginning.” - Goosey & Jamie G

With layered percussion and laid-back chords, ‘Way U Move’ floats over snappy rhythms and glimmering highs, crafting a flawless arrangement that calls for a crowd. To follow, ‘The Streets’ unleashes a funky, confident groove, charging the space with dynamic vocal cuts, vibrant stabs and a smooth bassline that drives the production forward.
