What an incredible honor it was to open the Fairy Forest on the final night of CAMP, right after the Burn. 

My set marked the beginning of the end. It was a celebration of the weekend behind us; we cruised into the night together. 

CAMPers were above me, below me, behind me, and with me - every moment of this set was palpable, and unforgettable.

By day, a dedicated physician and surgeon. By night, a sonic architect guiding anyone who will lend me an ear through hypnotic rhythms and timeless sounds. With just over a year of devoted practice behind the decks, this Mad Scientist has cultivated a style that thrives on deep, dirty beats, classic textures, and an eclectic mix that draws from every corner of music’s vast spectrum.

Having lived across the United States and traveled the globe—from the underground vibes of London to the iconic pulse of New York, the Bay, and Los Angeles—I try to bring a worldly sensibility to every set. Each performance is more than a mix: it’s a journey,  designed to intrigue and tantalize the inner music soul.

Rooted in passion and fueled by obsession, the madness curates an experience that blurs the line between past and present, pulling listeners into a soundscape where genres dissolve, and only the groove remains. My mission is clear: to move bodies, open minds, and leave an unforgettable imprint on the night.

I've been DJing for 12 years now; Originally from London, spent a few years in Asia, now based in NYC. Playing all kinds of house; melodic, funky, minimal, lounge, deep, tech, disco.  

I take pride in channeling a crowd's energy — especially the finer, subtle things in DJ life. Whether it be seeing a foot tapping, a new person joining the dancefloor, or the smiles I hopefully create, my aim is to ensure you leave with a feeling of warmth, safety, and happiness.

I have had the honor of playing incredible venues around the world; from Ku De Ta in Bali, Ministry of Sound London, to Public Records and Nublu in NYC, and festivals such as Burning Man or CAMP.

Mr Ruxpen has moved through the ranks of San Diego's underground music scene for the last two decade's.  Known for his "sweet and salty, light and dark" twist in any genre.  He has earned the respect of San Diego's elite DJs and promoters as a sound engineer by trade and a DJ by night. Mr Ruxpen has been working behind the scenes with top acts and huge productions for the past 20 years, which has enabled him to be inspired and schooled by the best in the biz. Currently living, and Doing Sound in N.Y. , his horizon, and influence continues to grow. Known to freestyle and cross many genres in one set, don't be surprised to hear amazing tracks from breaks, to drum n bass, from indie to fidget to techouse and beyond..
