Rumer is the professional name of the British female singer-songwriter, Sarah Joyce (born 1979, Islamabad, Pakistan). Her stage name was inspired by the author Rumer Godden. Rumer's voice has been described by The Guardian as being reminiscent of Karen Carpenter. 

Supported by leading music industry figures including Burt Bacharach, Jools Holland and Elton John, Rumer was nominated for two Brit Awards 2011.

Her new album 'Boys Don't Cry' is due early 2012.

Quickly, oh so quickly did we take Rhonda to our hearts, as the debut album "Raw Love" was released just two and a half years ago. Northern Soul lads, Soulpunks and pop fans alike were infected with this cool, nonchalant quintet fronted outstanding singer Milo Milone. "Raw Love" was a hip tip for those in the know in 2014.
For Milo Milone (vox, git.), Ben Schadow (lead git.), JanFabricius (bass), Gunnar Riedel (drums) and Offer Stock (organ) the last two years have been a wild ride. The release of "Raw Love" was followed by a heavy touring schedule. Situations and stories that they’ve experienced in these two years are mirrowed in the new album "Wire". 
A song such as "Off the Track", already looking like a soul dance floor packer for 2017, has a different style to, for example, "Something Good", which was written and recorded towards the end of the recording session.
The only song on the album not written by the band, is the (generally unknown) classic by The Nerves: "When You Find Out".
A song somewhere between the beginning of punk in the USA and power pop. This song is indicative of transition in sound made by the band from the first album to this one.
As Milo said: "Since we formed this band, what`s happened has happened! We met up, wrote songs and recorded them, in what seemed like no time at all. Now we had the luxury of taking our time and deciding exactly where we want to go. And that we as a band have determined us to write more refined and subtile songs than the little dirty soul ones we’ve been doing up until now!"
The biggest clout on the ear is, without doubt, the use of a full orchestra - the german film orchestra Babelsberg, no less, with whom Rhonda played a sold out concert in November 2015. It was clear to all, that this was a way forward for the band and not just a one-off mega gig.
With or without an orchestra, Rhonda impress and unite music lovers of different generations and taste whenever they play live. Their studio recordings serve to prove the point even further. It’s all about the songs.

"The second record is deeper, we know each other better and it is about the bands formed through our shared experiences," says Milo, "which gives us more space, not only to sound cooler, bigger and more polished, but to develope the subtiler side of the band. "The darker sides to our music which til now we’ve only been able to bring out live ,on stage. Not just a concept but also lovingly thought through. that was our goal in the studio.
Rhonda’s second album "Wire" is a coupling of their unhindered innocence from the days when they first formed with a massive of verve and soul.
A truly beautiful voice, full of emotion and all the colours under the sun with just the right amount of vibrato and sex rounding it off and you have Milo. Add to her the four men, with their cool, laid back sound and you have Rhonda`s recipe for vibes.
