so every now and then i hear a song that hits me right in the feels, makes me feel like butterflies and sunsets and lonely bars, and this was one of them. i was simultaneously in love and also furious that I didn't write this song, so i was incredibly psyched to work on the remix - it reminded me how fun and awesome making music can be. it's one of the most emotional and moving dance tracks I've heard in awhile, so I tried to honor that and still put my own twist on it. much love to mako, those guys are brilliant, so go follow them and check them out if you haven't already. There are so many songs on this album that speak to me so hard lyrically. This one in particular gave me chills the first time I listened, and still speaks volumes to me every time. It's a super mellow track, so I thought it'd be cool to give it a little twist with some more energetic production.

Two Friends - Emily (Zack Martino & BEAUZ Remix)

Jared Lucas (stage name Kap Slap) is most notably known for his mashups, mixes and original music. He built his sizable following as a touring DJ while finishing an Honors Integrated Business and Engineering degree from Lehigh University. 

Performing at universities and clubs across the country, the multitalented college-student-turned-DJ broke through thanks to his mashups and mixes – infusing the energy and groove of electronic dance music with everything from current pop hits to Motown classics. Kap Slap has since performed at major festivals, including KAABOO, Hangout Music Festival, Snow Globe, Made in America, Firefly Music Festival, as well as countless top venues and nightclubs.
