Everything Comes Back to You is about the cyclical nature of life; friends and lovers, important places or pieces of music, all entering and exiting your orbit over time. Just when you think someone or something is gone for good, there they are again. 

I started compiling this mix in the spring of last year right after my 30th birthday, recorded it the following summer and have sat with it ever since. It was a very emotional and introspective journey in the throes of my Saturn return, while experiencing a lot of uncomfortable growth. I hope it captures the feeling of not being who you were anymore, and discovering who you will be, but that this "new" version of yourself is actually lost somewhere behind or maybe deep inside you, and it's only a matter of time before it orbits its way back around.

It's been very fun to see the tracks pop up in serendipitous and special ways since selecting them last year, only further proving the thesis of the mix. Midland recorded a beautiful mix in 2021 with the same title for Honey Soundsystem's HNYPOT series.
