Kaput commissioned a mix from AGS for our 4/20 special. AGS played for Kaput 5 x Normie Corp: Corpcore last 27 Jan 2024.

AGS is a Filipinx DJ currently based in ‘Vancouver’, Canada. As a sonic explorer, they blend genres ranging from the rhythmic melodies of trance and experimental to the relentless energy of hard trance and the powerful basslines of drum and bass. With emphatic soul, AGS infuses profound emotional depth into their performances, taking listeners on a journey through euphoria and cathartic release.

This mix draws inspiration from instinct with the immersive tribal and hypnotic sounds of techno, using the percussive elements as the main source of groove and variation. More like a spiritual awakening with dark atmospheric soundscape that reimagines queer bodies in the precolonial era with elements of modern soundbites and samples. Celebration through color and carnival.

Pette Shabu is part of Aeterna, a FLINTA-focused music and art project devoted to feminine autonomy through music, art, and alternative creative movements.

She also established her name in the Philippines underground electronic music scene, as she also released an acclaimed 5 star experimental rap album quoted by Rolling Stones Philippines called “SPRAK” that also draws influence from the queer rave culture.
