Behold, my unofficial take of 'Parabola', a captivating track from the forthcoming EP by Gearmaster, the fresh alter ego of none other than Abdul Raeva.

Crafting this remix was a delightful journey, adding even more acid lines to it, along with lively piano house notes, instilling instant joy and an irresistible desire to dance.

Tested and approved during my long motorcycle journeys, with a smile on my lips, through the beautiful rice fields of the Philippines, where I currently am.

Spring has arrived with added fervour here at Darkroom Dubs HQ, as Parisien maestro Prinze delivers four jubilant tracks heralding his much-anticipated label debut. His 'We Are Free' EP is a bold clarion call to the dancefloor that gives a mischievous nod to early '90s UK progressive house and the halcyon days of acid and rave culture while fully embracing a defined and distinctively psychedelic sonic vision of the future.

2025 will undoubtedly continue to be an eventful year for Prinze as he duly prepares a fistful of cosmic missives for his own Epicure Records and remix collaborations with Rotten City head honcho Alvaro Cabana and Silicone Soul. Australian artist Sam In Space makes his debut on Roam Recordings with an EP full of high-octane dance floor anthems. Kicking things off is Late Night Conversations, a track brimming with electrifying energy, driving rhythms, and a vocal that builds to a powerful crescendo. The title track, Mind Machine, keeps the momentum going, delivering a massive club hit that's sure to keep the energy pumping.

Adding to the release are two incredible remixes from Roam Recordings alumni Colossio and Mijo. For our next installment we are excited to have French comrades REMAIN & daWad, both who shared an affinity for dark melodic, synthetic and sometimes atmospheric 90s touches that gives birth to their own cyber electronic music. Both longtime producers and veterans of the dance scene shares as a duo project, “Drowsy” an EP with the eclectic tact that characterise them.

Dazzled, the first single of the EP comes with an intrinsic touch that dives between hypnotic synths, stabs and a restless bass along with dreamy voices which calls for a night out.

Comatose on the other hand promises to defy any dancefloor driving the listener through an static and trembling bass line, drifted vocals and a persisting beat building up constantly on a 
perfect club ride.

Following the 2 original tracks, we’re thrilled to have legend Silicone Soul & Prinze’s, remixing Comatose on a beautiful Acid dub that is nothing short but mesmerizing, along with label mate Kabinett who doesn’t cut short to add harmony a drives all night with his take on Dazzled.

REMAIN & daWad - Comatose (Silicone Soul & Prinze’s Acid Dub)

The Madrid-based duo formed by Rama and Pedro, aka Teemon & Poomba, make their debut on Rotten City Files with the Stellar Rain EP, following their acclaimed work on labels like Música Cavernícola and Espacio Cielo. This release features two original tracks and two remixes by Psycho Weazel and Alvaro Cabana, offering an opportunity to revisit the "Euro Disco" roots and influences of the label.

"Meteoro Rain" is a track with an Italo vibe that, combined with Rosa's vocals, gives the song a retro character. A hopeful synth melody and modern production provide it with the necessary strength to shine on the dance floor without losing its nostalgic soul.

On the other hand, "Stellar Love" retains the Italo essence of the previous track but leans more into epic melodies and arpeggios. It shares the same nostalgic soul and power but is tailored for those who connect more with instrumental productions.

Label head honcho Alvaro Cabana reimagines the first track with a '90s groove, adding a faster tempo and a mood reminiscent of late-'90s Tech/Progressive House, with some nods to classic "Reese" productions (“Rock To the Beat”).

Closing the release, the Swiss duo Psycho Weazel (Exploited, Correspondant, Iptamenos) transforms Stellar Love into a peak-time bomb made for the dance floor, with a hypnotic, trance-like mood sure to delight the most devoted rave heads.
