One of Australia’s most mysterious jazz long players. The eponymous creation of Queensland pianist Robert Welsh. Originally released in 1986, Singing Dust offers a dynamic collection of songs, rich in expressive performance and compositional sophistication. Inspired by the sounds of Indian devotional song, the jazz piano styles of Bill Evans and Keith Jarrett, English folk and Debussey’s tonal impressions, this is a work of true dedication and posterity that will appeal to many serious music lovers.

Recorded from a somewhat obscure part of the Mediterranean, from the southernmost part of Montenegro. There, on a small triangle island surrounded by the river which flows into the wondrous Adriatic, dwells Filio.

Part of the local DJ collective @deeport that spreads the vibes around the region introducing musical gems of old and new, he's a true music lover with a genre-bending sensibility who likes to take the listener on an aural journey and off the beaten track.

This one, in his own words "takes you through the desolate postsummer melancholy of the surrounding socialist-era nudist resort I live next to."
