I am Karen Ellis, a mum to a daughter who hated her body at 6 years old. I went on a three year journey of guilt, fear and rage to work out what it was that made my daughter hate her body. 

My daughter is now unapologetically loud and confident and loves to show off what her body can do.  

On this journey I discovered that the reason my daughter hated her body at 6 years old was because of the worlds messages that told her, her body was inadequate.  

This made me really angry. The anger grew when I heard new mums in my postnatal exercise membership and loved ones around me also talk negatively about their bodies. 

I now use that anger to create this passionate fire inside me to tell the world, that the messages around you, that are telling you your body is inadequate just as it is are bull s**t. 

They are stopping us from paddling in the sea in our pants, from wearing clothes that are comfortable so we can enjoy movement and living our best life creating awesome memories with our children. Because thats what it is all about right? The adventure and the memories. 

Its time to stop letting the body fat, dimples, stretch marks and hairs take over our mind, plate and life and start calling bull to the messages around us that tell us our body should look a certain way. And instead step into the world with utter confidence that our bodies are flaming awesome just as they are. And lets enjoy.
