Kariem, born Kariem Portee on August 8th, 1988, is an independent artist from Decatur, IL. His interest in making music began at the age of 12 when his father placed an easy-to-make computer music production software in his hands by the name of Hip-Hop EJ. After making a few compositions and writing out a few songs, he realized the beginning of his passion for music and it would only grow from there.
