Opulent Chill is a camp at Burning Man. The long running fire and big beats offering that is Opulent Temple is on an 'every other year' plan. Some members still going to BM have dreamed up this side project to provide a sanctuary of chill vibes, dance performance, music and gathering.

Opulent Chill was inspired first and foremost by the chill side room at the annual SF version of OT's Sacred Dance 'white party.' A nice respite from the pounding beats and high energy of the dance floor, Opulent Chill is a place to go sit down, layback, listen to some downtempo / chill / ambient / trip hop / eclectic soundscapes, chat with friends, make out with your lover, enjoy large scale visuals, and watch various forms of belly dance, sword dance, whirling sufi dance, hoop, aerial, ritual performance and the like on a stage to take in various forms of slow paced beauty all at once.

Couches and mats, pillows and hammocks, nooks and corners for spontaneous conversation, you get the idea. It's chill! 

We're not millionaire driven or some form of playa angel funded. This camp comes together completely participatory based from it's members. Love dance music, a dancer at heart with music in my blood. Originally from the east coast, now in Los Angeles - started raving in 1994, djing in 2002. Came from a family of musicians and I just love to mix dance music records together. It fuels my soul. I have traveled the world carrying vinyl records playing in clubs, now play digital on CDJs. Mostly melodic, tech, progressive, deep minimal, techno, breaks, organic, indie - openers to bangers.
