A 3am session isn’t quite the same without the weirdly refreshing compositions of Howie Lee. He sent us ‘Everywhere I go’, a Jazz inspired mash of sounds carefully pieced together to create Howie’s signature sound. The Beijing based artist kept himself busy after the Borderless Shadows’ EP dropped, touring across Asia with Vice, starting a new EP & currently playing on a rooftop in Rio, Brazil. Whatever is next to come from Howie, we can promise he’ll never repeat one particular style when it comes to musical approach.

Howie Lee - Everywhere I Go

This was my first ever Burning Man experience. I am in fact still trying to find the right words to describe my experience there. 
Moreover the Robot Heart performance. But sometimes music really shouldn't be described with words. At least in my position being an artist & composer. 
So thank you that this magical journey of mine was recorded!
It was quite something to be on top of that bus as the burners rode in on their bikes. And when the bus took off watching everyone jump right back on their bikes and follow the bus in what I can only call a ‘mass exodus’ onto the playa. I decided to dig deep into my old productions and new and some of my favourite journey tracks for this mix.
Thank you, big hug and love to all who joined in and danced along, and to Camp David, Robot Heart & Jonny for getting me involved.
I hope to be a part of this again. Either way, I’ll See you again next year for sure!

Church is back in action with their second various artists compilation featuing brand new productions from DJ Aakmael, Aquarium, Laurence Guy & Debukas. Church has definitely been a label to watch lately after they released one of the best selling records of the year from Mall Grab but we've also been keeping an eye on another artist from the label who's been making music for a long time but only recently started to get the attention he deserves. Laurence Guy has recently dropped some great solo EP's on Church and Rose Records and contributed to compilations and split EP's on CinCin and Outplay but his latest addition to Churches Volumes 002 has the entire Phonica crew tapping our feet and nodding our heads in approval! The Fat! Club EP 001 is the first in a new series of free mini-compilations showcasing tracks from some of the UK’s most exciting underground producers. 

Established in 1997, The Fat! Club encompasses a record label, blog, club night and management agency. This long running commitment to UK underground music has seen Chew The Fat! host arenas at festivals across the UK and Europe, monthly parties around the globe, and five consecutive summer residencies at We Love…Space Ibiza.

Now more than ever the UK underground scene is overflowing with creative minds and upfront beats, and The Fat! Club is as passionate as ever about new talent. 

This first instalment features music from Pále, who after releasing on Fat! Records and Four40 in 2012 was named one of XLR8R’s ones to watch for 2013, along with fellow Fat! cohort Wolf Cub. As one third of Transmission Collective Wolf Cub is set for a big year as their label, Transmission Audio Recordings, continues to go from strength to strength. Newcastle based Moe has been bubbling up for a while now, with forthcoming music dropping on MadTech. London based duo DE$iGNATED are already forging out a signature sound, and with some wicked collaborations in the pipeline are set for big things. Rounding off the EP are Origins Sound, a collective of DJs and producers from Bath, who’ve been causing a stir with their parties at The Porters.
