The Mirror - AMbient Dubstep


As far back as care to remember I have dissected sound. I listened to Pink Floyd dark Side Of the Moon around my grans having seen the 8 track on the side..... in the 70s and was hooked by the synths and sequencing. I visualise soundscapes easily and have a strange ability where I can sense sound as a colour or feeling. 
After many jobs and fashion phases, I started producing music at home in 1989 on an Atari and Yamaha keyboard and soon discovered a talent for DJ`ing and production. One evening at a rave, I met friends Bob and Mark of Urban Hype of "Trip to Trumpton" fame whilst they were performing their top 5 hit at a party/rave. I worked on a few projects with the guys remixing for the likes of WEA, Phaze 2 Records for artists like David Sanbourne, Edelweiss amongst others and discovered a natural musical gift.
With this valuable production experience under my belt, I Move to the South Coast Bournemouth, a place I dearly love and live in now... to study Applied Psychology at Bournemouth University. I partied and studied and I carried on DJ`ing and producing as a hobby with an increasingly growing interest in Psycho-Acoustics and Sound Design. 
I worked in a "normal"(whatever that is) work environment for a few years and becoming more interested in a far more spiritual lifestyle, the clubbing went out the window with relentless partying. Having finally grown up and after feeling my brain shrivelling up, ;) I then went back to study. I completed a Masters Degree in Post Production Sound Design in 2004. After this the I decided to launch Underphunk as a dance production unit in 2005 and the label following at the beginning of 2008. 
Now with a extensive catalogue of house music behind me I am focusing more on Techno
