G.U.R.U. is a producer and DJ collective from London.
It’s music spans numerous genres mixing deep house and tech house with r'n'b, hip hop and drum & bass.

A creative house DJ with quite a unique style of mixing , hailing from West London. His Alias 'Astronaut Dread' makes adequate reference to the sounds he plays and how he delivers them.

Jai Baisden started Djing in 2001 at the tender age of 12, by blending accapellas from chart toppers of the day with more urban beats and became very good very quickly. He later developed a love for mixing and started to pursue it...
Being so young made him stand out from the rest and people started to understand his mixes.

A big part of his growing up was with his Uncle Tippa who took him under his wing, giving him jobs to help on his sound system as well as getting a few bookings for teen parties which later developed to proms,weddings and raves. 

"I started djing because of the feeling and satisfaction after having pleased a crowd of people and being the reason they enjoyed themselves so much"

Jai's first booking was at the well known Notting Hill Carnival back in the late summer of 2007, since then it has been a lot of hard work as well as networking that has helped get him to where he is today. 

Having developed his style and sound over the years, Jai now finds himself playing alongside some of idols and continues to move forward with his progress.
