Founded in late 2005 by Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, an Italian musician and producer, the project has undergone various transformations over the years but has never wavered in its ability to captivate audiences globally.
From his breakout hit "Warp 1.9" with Steve Aoki to his critically acclaimed albums like “Romborama," “Hide," and “The Great Electronic Swindle,” The Bloody Beetroots have carved out a unique niche.

Hier könnte eine typische Biografie stehen. Ist aber nicht so. Ich habe keine Schallplattensammlung geerbt. Meine Eltern waren keine Musiker. Ich habe nie ein Instrument gespielt. Ich habe nie produziert. Ich habe kein Label. Ich habe keine Booking-Agentur. Ich bin kein DJ. Ich liebe Musik und empfehle sie weiter. Ich erzähle damit auch gerne eigene Geschichten. Musik sagt mehr als tausend Worte. Sie soll mich nicht reich machen. Und nicht berühmt. Nur glücklich. Das ist alles. Und das ist auch gut so.

Rio, Herbert und Marius haben bereits vor vielen Jahren bewiesen, dass man sich niemanden beugen muss, um mit der deutschen Sprache Menschen zu berühren. Genauso unbeugsam versprühen DIE FELSEN jenen zeitlosen Sound und rollen ihn dabei ganz neu auf. Sänger Tim G. Mayer gelingt es mit roher und einfacher Sprache, komplexe Gefühle auszudrücken, ohne auch nur einmal ins Detail zu gehen. Seine fatalistischen Texte küssen den Geist der Zeit und schaffen es, die eigenen Sorgen so zu romantisieren, dass man mit einem melancholischen Seufzer die nächste Zigarette anzünden und beim Garçon das nächste Bier bestellen möchte.
